Why, body?

After reading a thread I decided I'll put pics up of the infuriating nature of my bodily hair growth.

First, what my pathetic sideburn hair looks like after letting it grow for a couple of days.

Dunno if you can see it but I've got annoyingly thick blond fuzz along the jawline, shows up white in this picture against the blue shadow. Don't ask, lighting is bad.

And then this is what the back of my neck looks like.

Are you kidding me.

You mean to tell me that I now suddenly have to shave my neck every day, but I can't even grow decent sideburns? C'mon, genetics.

Sorry for the terrible lighting in these pictures, but I think they do their job anyway.
Anyone else have this problem?

Can't say much about the sideburns, as I don't really know exactly what one can expect on T. But as for the hair on the back of your neck, no need to shave it. A lot of guys have that and I think it looks fine. Nothing unattractive about it at all.

Yeah, while I'm sure it's fine not to, most of the guys I know shave whatever hair they get on the back of their neck. I don't know what I'll get on T either, my dad keeps his beard as stubble so I don't know how quickly or how much grows. Hopefully I'll actually get decent facial hair, knowing my luck I'll end up baby-faced with a lawn on my neck, too. Already growing one on my back XD

When I first got my hair cut in the back a little while ago my mom thought I was getting T from a friend or something because the cisfemales in my family are devoid of bodily hair on both sides, with the exception of my paternal grandmother. She went for electrolysis, but even before that her hair would have nothing on mine. Not that I don't like it, but could it maybe grow on the other side too, please?  :P

Back of the neck hair is normal. I shave mine off every time I buzz my head which is about once a week. But if you don't keep your hair super short there's no reason to shave it, it looks normal.

I can understand your disappointment, but hopefully eventually your hairs on your face start to show more.

Without taking any hormones, my face naturally gets the same hair as yours. Darker, but still pale sideburn hairs, and pathetic blonde/brown hairs on the chin. It was annoyingly noticeable as a female, but now wanting to transition, I get disappointed seeing that that's all I've got. ^^; Also, my arms are INCREDIBLY hairy, yet my legs don't even grow hair in a lot of places. My stomach is hairier than the backs of my calves. :/

Genetics will find a way to screw you in one way or another, as if we haven't been dealt enough bad cards. :D

Genetics hate me too, lol, men in my family generally have little hair, and I have even less (no, the avatar isn't real. Unfortunately >:)
I dunno what it'll do on T, but probably grow very slow :(  seen my current hair-status.

I actually think facial hair looks awesome, that could be because I want it... but I already thought this as a 10 yr old kid who obviously wasn't yet aspiring to grow a beard XD

Both of them are both normal and very common for girls actually so it's nothing weird. Unless you have short hair you don't do anything with the neck hair, shaving it is hard to do yourself and very obvious. If you have short hair, the barber or hairdresser shaves it off. As for the blonde stuff, that's peach fuzz and pre-pubescent boys have it as well as most girls and women. I shave mine off all the time because only pre-pubescent boys have that, adults don't.  I read something not long back that said EVERYONE could shave their face because girls have peach fuzz at jawline and whiskers are common too.

When I pass, people seem to think I'm adorable for trying so hard to grow out facial hair. The paleness wouldn't be so bad if my hair didn't look shockingly dark in comparison- but it's only that color because I haven't spent time in the sun since around October because of school. So maybe when it lightens a little it'll take away some of that contrast and make them look normal.

And I've seen guys with hairy necks but my mom made me feel kind of weird about it, she said I had to shave it. I guess it makes for a "cleaner" look, but it's next to useless shaving it because it somehow magically regrows overnight. Why can't my facial hair do that ;-;

But anyway, the stuff along the jawline is still blonde but has a somewhat coarser texture than the initial peach fuzz I used to get. So I guess that's a good sign. And my barber did the sideburns and even my ears (?) yet left the neck for some reason. And it might be common for all girls, but certainly not the ones in my family despite the stereotype that exists around a certain heritage. I was born with a hairy back, the doctors told my mom this meant I was going to be one hairy person when I grew up. So hopefully they were right  :P

You're definately not alone.
I'm pre-T and my legs and arms are as hairy as a guy's. Also, I have the long neck hair. My barber even commented on it once, saying it goes way down. Thankfully, she just buzzed it all off.

I also have the peach fuzz, and lots of it. Its so soft! I reckon T will harden it all, and we'll end up as hairy gorilla dudes! :P

Haha, yeah. My back is hairier than my dad's  ;D
The lighter hairs are coarser and grow back like weeds for some reason while the dark(er) ones take their sweet time and tend to grow in long and fuzzy. That's not how this is supposed to work, but oh well, rest of my body is messed up too so why not.

I shall be the best gorilla ever.

Your neck looks pretty normal to me.  I think I've only seen one person with a clean shaven neck in my neck of the woods (ha, pun sorry), and I couldn't help staring at it on the bus, it was so strange to me.  Then again he was a bit of a strange individual in other ways and there wasn't much else to stare at.
