Was looking through old pictures of myself to update my facebook profile picture with... Found some old pics of me looking rather man-like and it dawned on me... I was already "hiding" my physical sex without even realizing it.

Yep...it's like how I've always liked having long hair...and my newest frame of glasses I picked out a year ago...they look feminine (before I identified as trans).

Every time I used to look in the mirror...I was looking for a girl...not a guy!

Like I'm just sitting here thinking it's so crazy lol. Before I realized I'm a transman and started down the path to "fixing" myself it's like... I look at these old pictures and think geez I was already trying to look like a man before I realized what was up

Those certain preferences we have for gender expression tend to show...since they after all are inherent preferences. Sort of like asking do you like this shirt or this shirt?

I'm non-binary so plenty of what I do wear tends to be androgynous/rocker style...nothing too masculine. Speaking of which...I had a phase in high school where I tried to be Über masculine...resulting in most of my shirts being black with skulls or UFC/MMA brand lol.

I've never liked over shirts though...I do like suits

I'm weird what can I say?

We do what we can to cope.  I was already having questions about my sexuality as a young teen.  I did not connect those issues with gender for decades, but I found ways of dealing with a dysphoria I did not fully recognize.

Ya it's just kind of weird yet amazing how I never really realized it until this moment
