I would just like to clarify that i'm not the *only* one who feels that it's actually there when it's never even been there.

That limb that has felt physically there to me since as far back as i can remember.... I cant see it... i cant physically feel it.... but it's there. Definitely there.

Defiently dude.... Its there!

Yep. Can't deny it. Honestly, I think that's the only reason I'm not all gung-ho over SRS... I don't need a phalloplasty. Already have what I need.

"The phantom penis?"  Isn't that a StarWars movie?

Very great thread, Wishy. So, do you feel it's presence all the time or just during sexual escapades? I feel it during those times, or rather the lack of it. I'll be putting the moves on someone, and have the urge to penetrate, then I'll be like 'wait a minute, something's missing.'
At those times, I am like a crackhead without a pipe. Product in hand, but nothing to hit it with. They've got to hit it, they're going to hit it - tearing out basement pipes and structures, tv antennas, whatever it takes. I'm resourceful like a crackhead. I don't happen to have the right tool for this project, I've got to make do. So, I do notice it at times like this.

I've not really had the chance to put my 'phantom penis' to action - like you say Nero. But i do get it's presence all the time. When i'm sexually aroused... it's like... there should be something there to show that i am.... My mind knows it's there but my eyes cant see it  :-\

Yeah that's pretty much when I feel it too. I'll be aroused and actually have to remind myself sometimes that I don't have that tool. For us, I think it's instinct more than anything else. Men have a biological urge to penetrate, so when men like us are aroused, it's natural to sometimes forget and be like 'oh wait a minute, I don't have the tool for this activity'. That's the only time I've ever noticed it though. The rest of the time, what I have in my pants just feels natural.

ROFL :D :D

I'm sure you probably do feel it.  I always felt like I had phantom breasts and now that I really have them, I can say it feels exactly like what I thought it would.  So, I definitely believe it when people talk about phantom parts.

The same thing works for us T-girls in reverse.  Tucking felt so-o right!  There's a kinesthetic thing going on...

You dudes may want to try a packer (if you aren't already) just to add a few more sensory clues...

And, what's the operation that releases the clitoris?

Aye, packer feels good, but hard to get used to the look. Feels like everyone is staring - as it may feel like for you girls if you're not tucked.

Operation that releases the clit is called.....wait for this.....a clitoral release. There's another called a metoidioplasty, which does some other stuff which gives us a mini-dick.

Yep, phantom penis sounds pretty much the counterpart of what I have -- phantom breasts and a sensitivity-enhanced strap-on.

LOL!  Well, it's about time!   ;D  Reading down this thread, I was wondering when someone was finally going to dare mention how this relates to the use of artificial dicks.   (Hmmnn... and I notice it wasn't one of the guys that first braved the thought! ^-^ )

While my mind is still my biggest sexual organ, and I don't require a physical object, it's still nice to actually have something 'in hand' as well.  I've just never really given that much thought though to an actual phantom penis though; it's more like it's just always been a given.

I've lived my whole life as though I "had a set", but that's more of a pschycological and attitude thing.  I've never felt the need for a real 'in the flesh' penis either though.  On the other hand, it's a huge turn-on to look down and see a physical bulge from wearing an artificial one, (let alone in its use, of course!  My very slight sense of discretion prevents me from further expounding on that topic however...)

I'll never trade in the practicality of packing (whether for daily wear, or for sexual play) for the much less functional (IMHO) surgical solutions.  And while we're discussing the 'outward' parts, where does one discuss what non-op Transmen do, (or don't do!) with their original inward parts?  I've been very curious as to how others feel about that, but rather timid to ask.
