I guess it doesn't matter too much to the girls that are actively transitioning as to a degree they have nothing to hide, It may be more of an issue if they try to go stealth later though. 

As another closet case, although one that is questioning taking the lock off the door,  I had a bit of a shock recently when I found that flikr was publishing the EXIF data on my photos complete with my name, who knows if anyone saw them but I was quite quick to find the setting in Flikr to turn it off once I knew.

Anyone who wants to try and stay in the closet but have an online life out of it, really must keep an eye on the google results for their name but I do somewhat feel an inevitability that one day the likes of flikr, facebook and google will put it all together and there will be no where to hide, I just hope that when that day comes I will both be accepting enough of myself to not care and society will be open minded enough its a non issue, Lets just hope that day hasn't already passed.

Yes, there is the risk that you'll be discovered. But I'll admit that posting the videos, and the compliments and support that you get from other people, feels AMAZING! And unlike pictures, where you can just say things like "well, it was a good angle, and in that pose I look like my true gender, but if they could see the real me..." because with Youtube videos, they are seeing ALL of you... voice, motions, hand gestures, how you carry yourself, all of it. So when you receive compliments, you REALLY feel like you've done something right. Posting my first couple of videos was a HUGE confidence boost in my presentation, and I still feel great every time someone comments on the videos.

I adore your demeanor and general persona and it comes through 100% in video form. Way to go! I hope I will find the courage to do some actual videos like that one my voice heals!

It's one reason I really like doing them. I think they do help other trans people.

I had a youtube channel a few years ago that I always posted on I even posted ont he day of my breast implant surgery. As well the few days after. I did however get off of youtube for a while and now recently have gone back. I think video vlogging help other trans people I know those videos help me out.
