So I started my first waitressing job today. I was wearing all black and my hair in a pony tail... not really my most flattering look. After I filled all of the employment papers at the end of the shift, me and my boss were talking about my living situation (I live in a rough neighborhood). She said "I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but a couple places are hiring." Apparently these places are the kind that show off beautiful women and they make GREAT tips... as in $250 a night kind of money! She said I'm cute enough to work there, and as long as I come in once a night or so she'd understand.

Think that'd cause a stir if I got hired there and later on the boss found out I was trans and let me go?
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

I'm jealous! I'm hoping I can stop be called "madam" like I'm 40 or something soon, with eyebrows and hair done and decent clothing, so I'm looking up to you from way down. Congratulations!

If you do get hired there, work it to the best of your ability, bring in beaucoup dinero for the establishment...the boss won't let you go.

Awesome!  I bet it feels really good.

I wouldn't worry about anyone finding out if you get hired.  You pass really well, so know one would really guess.  Also, if I remember correctly, you recently moved, right?  Therefore, it's unlikely you will run into many people who know your past.

Good luck on your new jobs :)

thats really great. i would have to agree with your new manager. you are beautiful and i would recommend you for a job like that too. and if they did find out about you being trans im 90% sure they would not fire you. i only say this from what i have herd from other trans girls online and skype that i have herd stories from who work in nice jobs like that. they say if anything either they dont care, or tell you just not to tell the customers, or say thats hot!

Hi Alaina,
Cool on you girl! Don't worry about being trans because it's all about bringing in the return customers and making a profit for the establishment. Whatever it is go for it but keep your clothes on, you needn't compromise yourself for $$$. ~ Shan~

Excellent news! YAY!

What a great feeling that is!!

Does the current place know you are trans....if not the new one shouldn't find out then.

Our these cocktail waitress jobs?? Does the new one have clothing optional??  :o I guess if that's the case that's your decision....but just be careful!!

Good Luck with your decisions!! :)
