So I'm very new here. I'm a member of another board. But found this place from google looking for more information on people who have gone to Montreal and saw Dr Brassard. Ok so I'm 33 pre-op TS girl. Started back in 2002 also started hormones and changed name. I went off hormones 3 times till finally sticking to it. Background grew up as fem boy and came out as gay when I was 14 or 16 one or the other. Knew I was different very young age. Started to dress at maybe 17, did drag performences age 19 but then felt better when dressed and knew than I wanted to be female. Pride 2000 was when I knew I would become female.
At times I have not liked my package but now don't have that problem. Though I have lacked relationships. In 2011 I got my breasts done. I have very supportive family. I have changed my mind on the whole do I or don't I want srs. I have been approved by camh in toronto for orchi surgery and yes I thought I wanted it because I thought it was the only option but after finding out from a gastrointestinal specialist that my bowels are fine. And that I could have srs I'm stuck not sure what to do. P.S. I had to see that specialist because I had pull through surgery from having hirschsprung's disease as a child.
Iv already sent in my papers to have my birth records changed to female, As a trans person in ontario you can get that done with out having bottom surgery so i'm just waiting on that. I do want to mention I have no problems with having a penis but when I was little I never said I want to stay in the middle when I grow up. I know this is something that needs to happen.
Thats me in a nut shell sorry for rambling

Hi Lanalicious,
Welcome to our little family. Over 11365. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

Ah, yes... taking your time and being sure is better than a just good idea.
