When facial hair started growing in for you guys, where did it start? I have a whole bunch under my chin, a little on my cheeks and a ton of side burn hair. The weird thing is though, where my side burns ended before and where they start now there's a gap. Is that ever going to fill in? Ill post a pic after

lexical

I had a slight mustache pre-t and and the cheek/chin hair has come in over the last 2 years. If you've seen my pics I'm sort of a beast though lol. Anyway I came in to say that the thickness and where it grows is still changing for me and that seems to be the case for a lot of guys. Some guys grow very little in the first year and then have a full beard a few years down the line. So really you don't know for sure how it's going to look until you're 3-4 years on T I'd say, maybe even longer. A lot of times those gaps do end up filling in but it can take a long time. How long have you been on T?

My facial hair started growing in 1 month on T, but it's not as thick now as I'd like.

Ok sweet thanks lexical. I'm ok with it coming in over time I just hope it's not patchy like its been coming in. I'm 6.5 months on t, so still early in.

Darrin, where did it start coming in for you?

DreadLOX

My Facial hair started growing in at 2 months on T and has been slowly filling in since then. It first started in my sideburns, which grow pretty thick now, and my under neck which is also no very thick. Its finally starting to come in on my cheeks and actual chin. Its at that stage where it all grows in but is that stupid blonde hairs you can't see. Though recently some have been changing color. In June ill be 10 months on T

I forgot to mention that your gap will fill in. My cis brother had the same problem took him over a year but it filled in nice. Surprisingly I did not have that problem at all

Mine actually looked a bit like yours when it started, on the side burn and slightly on the cheek. Also we have similarly bushy eyebrows haha. I'd say it's way too early to tell how it's going to look but I think you'll be happy with it.

That's comforting to know that even cis males can have the same thing happen. I can't wait Til it really starts filling in on my cheeks and chin.

Lexical- im already content having some facial hair, so if it fills on more ill be super happy lol. And ya my barber is always like, do you want me to clean up your eyebrows? Lol I always say no because I think they help me in passing.

Mine started under my chin, went down and out neckbeard style, while also improving on the mustache I've always sort of had.  It's just now starting to crawl upward, with a very little bit of soul patch and sideburns.  So right now, the chin is pretty good, the throat and mustache are approaching presentable, and the rest is little to none.  I'm 11.5 months.

Ya I hear from a lot of guys whether it be body or facial hair, it usually starts lower and then works its way up. That's why I thought it was weird that my sideburns started growing in first. I just started to get a few patches under my chin.

Nygeel

This is a month of not shaving after a little more than a year on T
This too

Starts at the sideburns mostly, going downward and a few stray hairs on the underside of my chin.

Mine started on the stache area which is kind of disappeared after 3-4 months  ???  Now it's growing in the sideburns and some on the chin. I wish I wouldn't be blonde cause all my facial hair is invisible.

Nygeel, you seem to have a lot more facial hair since the last time I saw a pic, and your skin looks really masculine. My skin is so smooth and young looking, I don't think that helps me too well.

Jared-do you mean like you shaved your mustache and it didn't grow back?? And ya that's one thing I do have on my side, I'm Italian and dark haired so that's how my facial hair is coming in

It grows back, just not as fast and thick as it started. Weird. I can grow pretty much the same amount on the sideburns as you in one week, it's just invisible -.-" But I know guys with the same haircolor as mine who has awesome beards so maybe it just needs time.

wheat thins are delicious

About 5 months is when I started noticing it, under my chin.  Now it's pretty good on my neck/cheeks, but not on my chin (the front) or soul patch/mustache area.  It's just starting to come out in those areas.

I had hormone issues since I was 14 or so and started shaving out of necessity back then. I could grow an almost full beard pre T so my story is a bit odd but whatever. Now at almost 5.5 months on T the last little bits are filling in (soul patch, top of chin, and that groove thing under my nose).

Mine grew in "neckbeard" first then mustache and sideburns. The cheeks took the longest to come in.

I've been on T a little more than two months and I have some dark hairs under my chin. ~hope

Here are some recent photos. 15 months on T.

Bad lighting and flash in my eyes.

Weird angle of my side burns, sorry.

Under my chin.

When I was first on T it came in under my chin and my mustache started coming in too.

I've been wondering how long it takes to grow in facial hair. Kinda disappointed it takes so long, but when you consider how long it takes cis guys to grow it during their teen years, I guess it makes sense. ^^;

This long process is what makes me want to start T ASAP!

I had a little moustache pre T due to being italian which thickened up in the first few months but nothing else until after the first year. Now after 2 years, I have neck scruff, sideburns, and some hair on my cheeks in addition to the moustache. Since i just had my hysto i'm too lazy to shave so I'm growing it out. I can't wait to see how much i actually can grow.

And don't worry about the gap. My brother had that in his late teens but it's gone now (he's 22)

My cis roommate who's 24 (25?) has that same problem. His sideburns don't really connect to his head hair. He's really Scandinavian though, doesn't have much hair anywhere. You've already got more sideburn than he does, so I think at the rate you're going you'll be fine.
