There are features like a very pronounced jaw that will make a pixie hard to pull off, but it's really more about the overall picture.
the point is, my body frame, skull size, and facial features are small and fem enough to work with short hair. :-)

(i really don't know why i'm cheesin so hard.)

You pull it off pretty good!  :)  I would probably go for a thinner eyebrow though to give it more of that "pixie" look

i've had so many eyebrows shapes, i've abused them by tweezing them all kinds of ways and i do partially have to fill in some bits of them that aren't ever gonna grow back LOL.
these eyebrows work the best for me.

plus the longer your face the fuller your eyebrows and the more "straight" they should be.
having thin arched eyebrows  (something i've had before) doesn't help you out :/

I really like your eyebrows more arched in that other pic. They are not pencil thin, which I hate. Super pencil thin eyebrows look universally terrible to me. You know what's best for you so go with what works. :)  Oh and don't get me wrong you have absolutely gorgeous eyebrows in both pictures, I'm envious.

yeah, it's just a pixie cut, guise.

i think it's bc mtfs go crazy over trying to grow their own hair out, when someone else cuts theirs they feel like that one is detransitiioning or isn't "complete" anymore as a woman.

even
someone with a shaved head can still be really femme
hair is hair.

I wouldn't say that I go crazy about it or am scared about completeness as a woman, but it is true I have that annoying tendency to project onto others. Whatever scares me personally, or that I would dislike personally, I tend not to want it on others, even though I know people aren't me (and if they were, the world would have a very serious problem). So if I think I wouldn't pass (or even simply wouldn't like) a haircut, it's going to be hard for me to fight the negative bias. :/

As for a shaved head... I believe you, but I've never seen a woman with a shaved head. o:

Interesting. I had never thought of that. Though I do prefer your old eyebrows, which means they at least weren't awful for everybody! :p

Yeah, I'm quite jealous. It would be nice to know I could pull off short hair if I wanted. Sadly it's not true.

My ex shaved her head and she still passed as a woman. I shaved my head before and you know what people said: you look like one of the Manson girls. This wasn't one person; it was almost every person. So hair really doesn't matter in terms of passing but obviously longer hair will help you pass, if that makes sense. Pixie cuts rock! But I am growing my hair out so I can get an inverted bob which is hair style I have wanted since I was like 12.

I guess when you are as cute as a button you can rock any look and style! I am so jealous Joey!

I will ad that I also prefer your old thinner eyebrows much better, they look much sexier on you! :p Just my 2 cents.

How do you feel with your new cut? Gorgous I hope!

I will also admit that I think I caught the bug, ever since you started this short hair thing I am considering cutting my hair like the girl in the following picture, I think its a "bob" cut? I dunno. For work I cant wear my hair down, it has to be in a bun or pony tail and either way by our policies it can't go past my collar while in uniform. But if I get a cut like this, I won't have to pin it up and I can wear it down since it doesn't go past my collar.  I believe this would give me a more cute femme look at work. Guess we will see.

Don't judge a book by its cover! My lifes been like a country song! True love, amazing grace, severe heartbreak, buckles, boots n spurs! I 've been thrown off the bull a couple times, I keep getting up and dusting myself off! Can't give up on my happily ever after!

That kind of cut isn't bad, even though I don't personally like it, but I think it gives a rather old look. Not old as in "outdated", but old as in "mature woman" Not necessarily negative, because I think pretty much the world minus me (and people whose youth is far behind) wants to look more mature, but I thought I'd point it out. And also see if someone will contradict me because I have no confidence in what I'm saying at all.

Also, I know most people here native English speakers, but I find that kind of cut is infintely more present/desired in English-speaking places than anywhere else including where I am. Am I imagining things? Because I've barely ever seen that kind of cut outside my TV or computer screen, when it's showing something from the US.

I say go do whatever makes you look the way you want to look, and only do what makes you happy. I read this thread, saw your Disney pics at your blog, and have to say you are light years ahead of me!
There's more to me than what I thought

I definitely wish I could pull off short hair. Long hair is kind of annoying, mostly because of how it's always on a quest to share space with my tongue.

I'm happy that it works for you, and I'm happy that you're happy.

Uhm, if I remember your face well, Kelly, you could pull it off really well and you'd be the only one thinking you don't.

If someone cut my hair off I would probably crawl into a hole for 3 years :D I probably won't stop growing it until it's getting caught in my bicycle spokes.

The short hair looks great on you, though, celestica!

You look great with that haircut Celestica!  :)

I for one would love to be able to pull off short hair, but the onset of MPB has made that an unlikely possibility, unless HRT manages to perform some sort of miracle. Oh well, maybe if it at least fills out the thin areas, and FFS works to get rid of the two male horns, I can consider getting my hair cut in that way. For now, length is needed as a covering mechanism.  :-\
