I bought the dvd about All The Pretty Horses...commonly called "ATPH".

It's erotically brutal and gently evocative in a very mixed bag of emotional content.

It's a documentary video about a guy-turning-girl as the leader in a glamrock band. I follow the bass player as she plays like I do, with my thuimb. This was the reason why I paid the $35.00+ for the video..it's rather expensive otherwise.

As Venus DeMars, he is transforming before the audience for a while now, and as the music gets better, they are making airtime on some of the more esoteric stations and playlists. His wife plays and sings in the band, and shes' a law student at a very prestigious university in the East area of the US. There are some GG's in the group and another MTF in transition too..the drummer.

Good music..at least most of it is anyway..but the visuals are gonna knock your highcuts off!

Check some of the trailers for the video by Googling "ATPH" or "Venus DeMars" (no space in that surname) or use YouTube for streaming short outtakes of the vid by the same criteria.

Just watched the YouTube clip. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music but have not looked into Glamrock. Now I have a reason to look!!

I appreciate his/her comment about being comfortable with who he/she is. The in-between state. I admire the women who have been able to or are comfortable with their decision to fully transition but most of us are probably either stuck or satisfied where we are.

Thanks for the post.

I saw Venus perform this past Friday. Good stuff. Jendeen and Tempest are now with a different band, Harsh Reality. Missed their show, darn it, though I saw them at the block party. I did write Tempest that I hoped she was wearing sunscreen, as those fishnets didn't seem to provide much protection!
The documentary is well worth watching. I thought it was well done. Recommended! Also, catch the bands if they are in your area.
On the other hand, many have the idea that all transgendered are the "in your face" variety, and they can further this stereotype. They don't claim to 'blend', and don't care to. As Tempest says, "the revolution begins in the mirror!"
Viva la Revolucion!
