I read a very interesting article discussing gender reassignment. I could really relate to what it discussed about being normal.

I believe many in the gay community felt the same years ago, many now can have a feeling of normalcy because the general public has accepted people that are gay more widely....even allowing and supporting same sex marriage. For some gay people they can now feel they are part of a "normal" society.

For transgendered people I believe it is more difficult then this. Yes society may become more tolerant and accept gender fluidity but for some (many) transgender people the only way to feel normal is to not only look like the gender they know they are but to have their sex match their gender. This is me!!

I have often wondered about all of this kind of stuff. I herd roomers that many trans girls just blend into society after transition. And considering that might be true I would think people would be more ok with us. Mean from what I'm finding out from most guys who I tell they really don't seem to care ?
