This past week I got my first intake appointment at a gender specialist center. Seems like a decent enough place but a little rough to drive to. I will be called sometime within the next two weeks to setup an appointment with a regular gender therapist. It feels good knowing that I can finally be unburdened and actually begin to truly express myself. I've already begun the process of carrying a purse (its black as to not stand out too much and has lots of pockets for carrying stuff). On weekends, in addition to the purse carrying, I also started to wear boot cut, low rise ladies jeans with a belt. I wear a long shirt with it so its not that noticeable. Its surprising how comfortable ladies jeans are and with nothing in the pockets feels all the better.
Also, I met with my regular psychiatrist about other meds I take and he may be willing down the road to assist me with hormones someday. My spirits are going up all the time. I just get busy sometimes and don't get to post here as often as I would like. It does feel good to talk to others in a similar boat.

Awesome news!  It's hard to get over the first step, but things get better once you do.  Congrats :)
