Ciara

This evening I raided my wife's makeup bag while she was out. I did up my face, eyes and put on the lipstick. I wore a nice lace top with camisole underneath, cardigan and a light summer skirt together with necklace, earrings and bracelet.
I felt great. I looked in the mirror and saw the girl glance back at me and smile.
I so love being a woman, being myself, who I am.
I had a couple of tears when I had to return to guy mode but, that's ok............they were happy tears. I know I'm repeating myself but since I accepted that I am a woman, I so love being who I am. The way I feel right now I think it was worth repeating!!!

Thank you for listening,

Love,
Ciara.
I don't have a gender issue.
I love being a girl.

Hey there - good job.  It is fun to experiment and find your style.

It's just dawned on me that nobody has addressed me as 'madam' this week.

(That's jinxed it: now that I've said it, I just know I'm going to get 'madamed' all over the place this weekend).

Also, I just noticed that my previous post was my 665th post... so this is my post no. 666.  >:-)

I took Caleb to the gun range today. I thought it was something to one-up his brothers, since you can't shoot guns up in Canada like we can here in the US. Caleb did pretty well with a 9mm pistol.

Then we went and shot some trap with my Mossberg 500

All in all, we had a great time together. ^_^

I am so jealous of you two. v_v

Savor these last moments, y'all. :)
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

Something i have never noticed before, since it was so gradual:

The improvement of my guitar playing skills.

I was rummaging through an old pair of shorts my mother asked me to put on and i found my old flash-drive with old recordings. Guess what i've heard?
Erratic playing, offkey soloing and unnecessary fills that i no longer do.

This is actually a really good reminder to me to not take my health and abilities for granted.

Cool, you've corrupted a Canadian with guns.  :P

I just started a new Pokemon LeafGreen game.  My trainer name is Anna (of course) and my rival's name is my male name (it seemed fitting)  :D

Yes, he is addicted. There was even talk of him buying his own gun. But, seeing as how he couldn't take it with him, he would leave it with me.

Shoes can be addictive  :)  I am often tempted greatly but somehow I've been able to keep myself in check

I look at the adverts and think 'Want those shoes!!! Want those shoes!!! Arrrrrgh!!!'

Tempting as it is, I know I have to stay within my budget, so new shoes will have to wait awhile  :'(

Today was the fist time that I was not mis-gendered by a stranger!! I was asked to show them (there were 3 in their group)  to the elevator and was called by my birth name by the nurse on duty (I won't go into that right now) Anyway the lady asked "We are to follow her?" I squealed with delight It totally made my day!!! While showing them to the elevator I explained the the lady in the group whats going on and she did say that I need to change my name.

The papers to start that process will be filed within the next few weeks, This week is just way to busy.

Through friends at my church, I'd become the quasi-mentor to a young MTF who recently graduated a local high school and is now bound for Stanford.

She was her class's valedictorian.

And her chosen name was in the program, her chosen name was called when she walked across the stage, and she wore the color robe that the female students wore.

She's an openly MTF student who'd been embraced by her classmates and her school.

This gives me great joy!

That's a great story Constance, another testimonial to how quickly society is evolving favorably on the issue of gender identity.
On a far simpler level, what made me happy today was going out for the first time in a sleeveless summer dress and seeing that the years of HRT really have done the trick on my arms, now as slim as those of any cis-woman who is my size. Pity it doesn't work on the hands too but best to stay focused on the positives.. :)

That is sooooo super awesome! Good for her! ;D
Yeah. This friend from church was a year ahead of this particular MTF. My friend asked to put me in contact with the MTF to help support her. And now, I feel she's inspiring to me.

And I've told her as much!
