Got bullied A LOTTTT until I grew big enough in grade 5 to kick the ass of my bullies...
I had to hide after school exited by many different service entrances that I wasn't suppose to use because one or more bullies were waiting for me at the door about 2-3 days a week. They'd say they'd break my face, my legs, whatever else was breakable. Once they ran after me for 2 blocks, but I was always a fast runner. Got in at least 5-6 fights were I got punched out in grade 3-4.
I never really knew why they were after me. They did not throw insults too much. I often played elastics with the girls (I could jump over the elastics even when they were at forehead level!!) (but I was also pretty good at dodge ball) and was the teacher's pet with great grades which suppose made me a target.
The strange thing is in these days, if you weren't able to stand to a bully, YOU were to blame for being so weak, for not being able to take care of yourself! Even my mother said I should defend myself. That was in the mid to late 70's, not the dark ages!
Oh those were the days.
