Yesterday, since I was going to be buying girls' clothes for the first time, I went to a lingerie shop, saying I didn't have breasts and would like them to help me correct the situation. She gave me two options: silicone things and very padded bras. I took the latter, because the silicone things would make me sweat, and I'd always worry about whether it's well placed.
So! She helped me pick one of the right size: 36 (fake) A. It makes for very small breasts, but that's quite sufficient not to look ridiculous in girls' clothes, and not to be gawked at like an alien when I go out without a coat making the absence of my breasts less obvious. (Yes, until now, summer temperature or not, I've always been going out with my coat.) Well. I'll be stared at less, at least, I suppose. It's super comfy! For the first few hours, I seriously wondered where my sister and everyone else took that I would need to get used to a bra, that it's not exactly comfortable.
It's really comfy... until I've worn it for about 2-3 hours. Then my nipples (or rather, the lumps underneath) start hurting. At first it's barely noticeable, but the pain gradually increases until the bra becomes literally unbearable. You see, with my low dose of estrogen, my breasts aren't growing... but I still have higher levels than the average males, and they're being kept in that "growing" state. They're nowhere as sensitive as they were when they first began developing, but still. They just can't take the compression much longer.
I'm not sure if I'm imagining this, but I have a feeling the bra has a tendency to slide up a bit. Maybe I just need to adjust the shoulder straps a bit though.
But regardless of how I position the bra, my chest is killing me after a few hours. I definitely can't handle wearing this for a full day at school when it starts again, and this is going to be a big problem.
I thought it maybe was a bit tight for my nipples, even though it felt perfect otherwise, so today, I tied it on the last of the three hooks, while yesterday, it was on the middle one. The pain came even faster.
So uhm... Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal? What should I do?
