I have heard some people reporting that taking female hormones does not interfere (much) with sexual potency as a male – and what about the she-male phenomenon?  Others say it definitely kills Lord John stone dead, and good job too.  It seems that yet others are able develop female breasts but still be able to function as a male sexually more or less indefinitely – is there a discussion string on ->-bleeped-<-Web or any other TG forums on this (if so, I haven't found it yet).

Obviously if I take female hormones, at whatever dosage, for long enough, I am going to get to the point of no return as regards having boobs, even if I stop the hormones.  I think I am probably approaching that point fairly soon.  But this doesn't worry me – I guess I am that far gone already in my transgender journey – neither does it worry my wife, who is delighted with my female breasts.

It's different for everybody. You can't really predict something like that.

And yes, transsexuals can orgasm while on hrt, and also after srs.

My feeling is that if you want to follow this path I would seek the help of a good endocrinologist and probably an experienced plastic surgeon and psychiatrist who can help you.

One thing we always have to remember is that you see people in magazines or movies in any situation that their images are often manipulated to make them look fantastic. I think many woman in the movies can look awesome when made up and photographed and look rather ordinary in real life.

The same is probably true for people who have had gender changes and present in porno movies etc, their images may not reflect the truth!

There is nothing wrong whatsoever in you and your wife pursuing your ideas, but do be a little be cautious that at some point changes may not be reversible and if you don't want them you are stuck with them, and not just in the bedroom but everywhere in life.

To that end, and I am very conscious of the wide variation in the gender spectrum of people here, that if you go to my level (for example) you have to live in society as a woman. I have no 'male privilege' I am identified as and live as and expect to be treated as any other woman in my society. If you don't want that then don't follow that route.

As far as orgasms etc for trans*people, that of course is a very personal experience and feeling. In my case I have a deep and satisfying sex life. However my sexual pleasure is totally female focussed.

YOU are the only person who can decide how you want to live. No one here can ever tell you that being anywhere on the gender spectrum is suitable for you. We are all gorgeous people and all unique and we all deserve love and respect.

Also, in the realm of getting hormones prescribed, rather than trying to convince the therapist that you are trans, there is a method known as "informed consent", where you demonstrate a knowledge of how hormone therapy will change you, and that you accept the risks (and benefits).

As I understand it, this is to protect the medical people from being wrongly accused later of "misdiagnosing" you.

fwiw, I have heard that the actors/actresses in that kind of porn "cycle" their hormones...take them until they either get breasts, and/or get a "boob job" (breast augmentation is the medical term), then stop taking them while they're working in the industry. Typically, you'll see a change in your emissions within a couple weeks; after a few months, there'll be almost nothing coming out but orgasms will still be there. (And that's an unsettling experience, let me tell you!  ;) ) As I understand it, if you stop taking hormones, male emissions will resume after a short time.

I do not know, as I have never stopped HRT.

I do not know how much of the "male sex drive" (the desire to penetrate) disappears with HRT. I have heard (from the FtM's) that they often start feeling very poke-y, not "slow", but as in "penetrative". MtF's, on the other hand, typically do not want to penetrate any more. Of course, everyone's experience is different...but you should be careful in choosing to believe "oh that will/won't happen to me!" because there is simply no way of telling, except after a few months on hormones.

Also, one's sexual orientation (the desire to have sex and/or a relationship with someone of the same, or opposite, gender) has, in some cases, been known to change (but in other cases, it stays the same). It would be a bummer if you took HRT to get boobs, and then found that you want/need a man to satisfy your needs. Your spouse should be aware of this possibility, however slim it may be.

Please Also note that "man-boobs" and breasts are two distinctly different manifestations. You'll see what I mean if/when you get breasts...the look, the feel, the response of the body to stimulation...No comparison, imho.

Good luck with your journey!
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Yes you can orgasm after or during HRT although the experience has been quite different from before HRT for me. "Getting it up" is tougher to do but is still possible. There are chemical aids to that like the little blue pill. I know some non op trans girls that do that. Some trans girls have a bit of a mental block in how the act is done. They don't want to do it like a guy and half of the act is a mental one.

Hi
It seems to me that women experience a far more rewarding and complete orgasm than men – the lucky things –  wow, would I like to experience what they experience, and have the full body sensations and internal glow going on for that long!
I might be more inclined to say I'd go for the full transition (that may still happen at some point in the future, okay, I can't rule it out.)

Thank you girls.

Honey whatever you do in life, never transition because you think the sex life is better.
