That's the thing - I never used to speak ill of either gender. Nowadays, though, I feel no urge to restrain myself from joking about myself. :)

Zoe, there are a lot of folks here that occasionally make self-depricating remarks, I do and find it therapeutic as it helps me to not take myself too seriously and get overwrought with GID issues.

I found a job that I am really excited to apply for. I've found that I've had to change my direction a little, as I always get "clocked" in extremely liberal places, and they think I am the oh so fascinating resident transsexual. And aaaaall they want to talk about is my experiences. No thanks. And I'm jaded with the gay/lesbian community in this city, I don't want anything to do with them. So my options are limited.

But there's a job at the Counselling centre that I qualify for. They might be familiar with trans people, but I imagine that they have the good grace to keep their mouths shut if they happen to clock me. I won't out myself though because I am sick of being a token.

And if for some reason you get clocked will you turn down the opportunity rather than becoming the token that eventually outshines the rest of the staff?

I don't know. Realistically I'd probably keep the job, for money and experience and such, but I'd be really upset. I never used to have a problem being out, or even outed, but people were kind of like mind vultures and it got me feeling really depressed.

There are ways of putting up walls for those types. I have reversed so much of other peoples crap back onto them that it has become like an Xbox game skill for me, you can do the same.

I had a White House Breifing today, was given an official declaration that June 2013 is GLBT month, ate at Georgia Brown's, gazed upon the Declaration of Independance, the U.S. constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Bell X-1, Space Ship One, the Washington Monument and got to see , finally, The USS Enterprise 1701 original filming model. My feet hurt, I'm tired but I'm so happy about what I got done today. With all the lobbying and meetings with officials, this has been one of my busiest, tiring and exciting times in my life. ENDA is still a big issue and I really hope it passes. If it does, you're welcome! :P

Blasting through some ant piles a few minutes ago with a water hose and when I was blasting through a particular pile there was a penny buried under it. so I washed it off and put it in my top surgery fund.  HECK YES another penny!  I'm about to go change my fund number now.

My daughter, who is a writer, has emailed me a copy of her latest work of fiction. After the rubbish week I've had at home, it's nice to feel included in this way.

I thought "what's so great about that" and then I remembered you're in Finland where those are probably few and far between. I live about 20 miles from a Pepsi plant. It originates from my State. ;D

I'm happily dreaming about the future. Only around 11 more months of binding left for me. :)

I just found a tenner whilst walking the dog  ;D

I had a phone call this morning confirming that I can sign the paperwork for my new flat on Friday morning & move in straight away, I can finally get away from this horrible hostel.
My new flat has a new fangled invention called hot water! After 4 months without hot water I can't wait to move in & soak in a hot bath instead of shivering in a cold shower  ::)

Found a ten, sounds like your luck is changing. You're coming up in the world Jayne, couldn't happen to a nicer person!

I saw an old friend today. I have not seen her for the past 11 years or so. Today she came over to see me. We had an awesome time laughing and joking about the past. And she totally accepts me as Bethany. :)

You're right, finding 12-packs of any soda tends to be pretty rare, at least in the smaller shops (the nearest one to us is part of the chain of small grocery stores in Finland and their selection is... lacking). They might be more common in the big supermarkets but there's none near us so yeah. :D
Lidl usually has something similar but it's five kilometres from us and we don't have a car. :'D And Pepsi is my favorite soda!

And damn, does it taste good from a can~

Actually, I like when my favourite things are harder to find. It makes the times you do stumble across them that much more awesome. ;D
