Hey,

I have made a short film, A drama called Charlie, about a transgender woman who hits breaking point.

Look forward to your thoughts,

Paul

I am of the 'gender' which existed before the creation of the binary genders.

LOVED it! It just did an excellent job of capturing the emotion, and was very well-shot and well-acted. Kudos! Awesome work!

(I have a sneaking suspicion that the protagonist in this film hasn't had any HRT, though, judging by the skin texture and lack of cheek apples, but whatever. :P)

It does depict something many do face.  And the triumph that we can all achieve.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Thanks for the feedback!

I will try and publish it to a wider audience!

The sound design could be a lot better, and I will improve it for festivals.

What a great film, it affected me on so many levels. Thank you for sharing.

I agree it is a great film - Thank you so much.
MTF progressing towards her final stages of transition. Next up is my facial and body surgery; then my final transition to being a total woman! Been a long & hard fought journey but in the end, it has definately been worth the wait  ;D[/left]

Paul,
you have captured the essence of what so many people in this situation must put up with on a daily basis. It was a brave piece of film-making and even brought a tear to my eye. Thanks so much for doing this.

Paul, this was a wonderful piece of artwork.  The cinematography was absolutely beautiful, extraordinarily mature for a student filmmaker, and I'd love to hear a follow-up from you as to how this short has been received elsewhere (i.e. outside the trans community.)

The film had me close to tears – not of sadness or anger, but happiness; right at the end where – SPOILER ALERT! – the lead puts the makeup back on, smiles, and then goes back out. Because that sums it up so nicely. We're hardly accepted by many segments of society, but that doesn't necessarily matter because we can be happy just being who we are.  Emotionally, you managed to capture the ups and downs, and I'm so glad you ended on an up – for me, so many days end on a down.

I appreciate you putting the time into making this.

You where so fabulous in the end "This is who I am and I love being me" Thank you for sharing this.

I like the way you captured this. There definitely need to be videos like this out there to reach cis gendered people, I don't feel like there are enough. Thank you so much.

I know I'm late to the party regarding your film, but I just had to comment on it. FANTASTIC. I hope you were able to get it into some festivals, because not only is it a great piece of film making, but it is a story that needs to be told & seen over & over again, until the discrimination is over. I believe we are getting closer by the day, which makes me so happy. I believe from the bottom of my heart that your film will play a role in furthering our place in the world. No words can explain how "Charlie" touched my soul, but I hope a Thank You does help.

I hope you share more of your films, even if they aren't about TG's.
There is nothing I LOVE more than being able to express my femininity in the silkiest, softest, & frilliest clothes in my closet.  I owe a Thank You to Alyssa Milano for being such a great feminine role model any gurl could ask for. :eusa_naughty: :icon_kiss:

I loved this video. I especially loved the ending. Wish I could have hugged Charlie
and encourage her to be who she is.
