So I dived into this yesterday and shaved my legs for the first time and I'm curious to know if everyone else's experiences match up with mine.

It really blew me away.  It feels and looks so right and so amazing.  It's almost a liberating feeling to finally feel one part of me is looking as it should be.  It took me forever because I was being careful and it was such a new thing.  Didn't cut myself at all, and I'm told I did a pretty good job.  My message to a friend afterwards was "holy crap my legs look amazing!", something I'd never really say about any part of me before.

How was it for you?

So amazing that I knew I could never, ever, let them get hairy again.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Hah, I got that too after the first swipe of the razor.  It was like, "I guess I started, so I'll finish!"

In a totally non-sexual way, I don't think I've ever touched myself quite so much in one day before.

Couldn't keep your hands off those smooth legs?

Yes!  A world of new experiences, so much to explore.

Lol I remember when I was 8 years old a shaved my legs and arms. I loved it! But my parents didnt :(
just the other day I shaved my entire chest and stomach. That was liberating! I have always had austin powers hair and now its finally gone. Its still noticeable bc its so thick and dark. But I hope my hrt will help with that soon. Legs might be next tho!

It was simply amazing. My first time a girl friend in high school asked me to do it. It felt liberating. The smoothness and cleaness. At the time I did it because she asked  >:-) So there was a bit of a forbiddeness to it that I hid from my parents.

These days it feels I'm becoming younger with every razor stroke. I shave a little bit more every time I shower now and then I look in the mirror and see little glimpses of there girl I denied for so long.

I love the results of shaving, but not the act of it.  I always make mistakes.  Plus dealing with stubble sometimes leads to razor burn.  Not very fun.

I'm glad your fist time shaving went well.  Hopefully, there will be many more happy shaving moments. :)

Practice makes perfect. And when that fails they have salons.  ;)

Oh believe me, I have shaved enough that one should consider me an expert.  Yet, I fail all the time, lol.

I swam in high school (as a freshman) - very poorly at that.  But the great benefit was the ability to shave my sparse body hair with impunity.   ;)

I started shaving recently, I love it! Makes me feel so clean and smooth! It's amazing! ;D

I did cut myself once the first time I shaved, I'm more careful now though so I haven't cut myself since

While i didn't really shave the first time, that first swipe of the washcloth was amazing!! I have kept them silky smooth ever since with one exception and that was to try waxing. Yes waxing lasts longer, but totally not worth the pain lol.

One day I'll work out how shaving dead hair is going to make it stronger and/or thicker. Mind you, when I do, I'll be proving something that has been proven false numerous times..

Sometimes I wonder if the enthuaism in being a top Triathlete was a direct result of my first leg hair waxing - it felt wonderful.  Shaving makes it grow back too fast but it easy and convenient. FYI most serious cyclists shave their legs as it prevents infection if you fall and get scraped. I had so many ways to keep stealth my secret.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

Here in California now that it's shorts season I'm amazed at how many men I see with smooth legs! I realize we have many cyclists in this state who keep smooth legs, but it almost seems to cross more demographics than just bikes....maybe it's a California thing?
