It may be a silly question but iv'e seen some transition videos on youtube and most of their noses were incredibly smaller and more feminine, is it possible?

Somehow..
kinda.

I dont really know what it is but my nose does seem to be changing and  I have no idea. It's still it's same shape and all but..

it's different lol.
Some of that is also makeup, a lot of girls cis and tg blend their makeup so their nose doesn't appear to be as big.

Yea I thought so maybe its the structure of the face changing as well idk either. Yes makeup does wonders, my nose isnt really big but I have a big round beefy tip lol -_-

Jennygirl

I have noticed a big change in my nose.

I think it's from skin becoming thinner and redistribution of facial fat + muscle. I feel like my nostrils don't flare out as much, and I used to have more of a bump towards the top that has smoothed out a lot.

I don't think it's my imagination... Maybe it is :D

So it would then make sense to wait with rhinoplasty before being into HRT for a year or two... Hmmm :)

I know all of my medics have said don't do FFS, BA etc until 18-24 months minimum of HRT. There can be a lot of changes in (mainly) fat redistribution but also muscular changes. So try and keep holding out. otherwise we may waste money and we may also waste our eventual looks.
Just by the way one of the medics is my endocrinologist and she if also a MTF and wanted all the changes, but is adamant that it is worth waiting. I sort of trust her opinion as she came from the same direction.

Oh my nose got considerably smaller when I stopped telling lies

Yeah, knowing how it is going to look eventually is important - and then do that rhinoplasty, because I pretty much know that HRT wont completely remedy the fact that it was broken years ago  :P Its not that bad, but its noticeable :(

Yeah, it does. It's generally more on the sides of the nose, and not so much the length.

Maybe it changes a little, but I think a lot of the perceived change is from how the rest of the face changes.

Come on, we are girls and have no brains anyway :) Just a tiny piece of rope to keep our ears together :)

Yes, it makes sense as a causal link. Why else would we be stupid enough to take hormones of the opposite sex.

In a way, yes, but that depends on.
HRT  made the blackheads on my nose disappear...then my facial fat 'grew around' my cheekbones and all that made my nose look smaller.
Not shorter, but a bit narrower.

I had a gaunt face with sunken cheeks before I started HRT...'filling out' such a face does a lot too for your nose 'proportions'

Hmm I had some questions about this too.
I was diagnosed with a mild deviated septum. It's nothing serious but it aggravates my sinuses from time to time and it is not very pretty. Lately, I was thinking that since I should get it fixed at some point, I might be able to do that and have my nose made more feminine at the same time to save some money. That said, I'm not on hrt yet and have no idea how my face will look in a few years...

Hope you don't mind me piping up here but on the opposite side my nose after a few months on T seemed bigger and more prominent and so did my ears. I don't think either actually got bigger, I think it is down to fat redistribution in the face. Girls seem to carry more in the upper half of their cheeks, it makes sense that would make the nose appear smaller and in my case losing that fat would make mine appear bigger.

I was concerned pre-t that my nose was too little and feminine but now i have no problems. So I would definitely suggest waiting and seeing what you get

I have the same face type and am very much hoping hrt will fill out my cheeks a bit. Overall I love my skinny body, esp since i'm in my 40s. but I am very excited for the changes hrt will hopefully bring. this is me pre-hrt with thin face and no fat on my legs :(
