Just got the results of a blood test I took on Monday. The results show that I don't have a brain tumour.

Phew! It's been a worrying week, waiting for that result.

Good news, you have plenty on your plate already!

Thanks Auntie Shan; it was a massive relief!  :)

Noticing how a better voice technique makes my singing voice sound much smoother with a distinct undertone. Still not a great one, however, but the strain is mostly gone.

And that will only improve with plenty of time, practice and above all, a positive attitude towards the whole process.

On topic:

This arrived today. It's pretty amusing because it was printed in the U.K. and the language was tweaked for a British audience a bit.

In one comic entitled "Sweet Dreams", here is an exchange between Portia and her mother:

Mom: Fancy eating cheese before bed, Portia. That's bad for you!

Portia: Aw, don't fuss, Mum!

LMFAO!

It's quite amusing.

I was also able to order another hardcover book but this one is based on the Pilot episode before it became a series. Now, if I could just find a complete set of the paperbacks I would be set. I'm having a hard time finding one that includes "The Get Along Gang & The Crybaby" (Three guesses as to who THAT is referring to. :D) For some reason that one is super rare and the one time I've seen it for sell, the greedy schmuck wanted 35 friggin bucks for it.

My whole tone of voice is different at the moment and i didn't set out to change my speaking voice too, but it did. I'm talking in this weird higher voice at the moment (more embarrassing is my fake pseudo-british accent whenever i speak English) Actually, i followed some advice on this site and told myself "you're only trying this for a better singing voice". It previously was so strained, it was really painful and this one day it would sound full-bodied, Gillan screams and all. Puberty didn't do my voice good. It wasn't great before, but much better. Now i've actually regained a lot of range just by singing from the throat more.

Holy crap, glad you're okay! Waiting for the results must've been a killer.

I think he's learning german.

I think I might be the walrus. Admitting to myself that I am the walrus, not Paul, is a big step on the Magical Mystery Tour to Strawberry Fields.

Well, it will all evolve in time. You just have to go through the process, make some mistakes (even some pretty embarrassing ones. I remember when I started the process, I ended up sounding like a little girl no matter what. I got some really weird looks but I just kept going.) Now, I can alter my range of voice to sound female in different ways and even do some pretty decent hardcore/punk style vocals in the same ranges. You just have to keep at it and it will evolve on it's own. Just let it come naturally and all will be fine.

Thanks, but you didn't comment on my walrusness? Now i am a sad walrus. Please join our tribe.

Sorry. Can't. I am indoctrinated into the tribe of the happy porcupine as their den mother.

I know two spells for that:

"clears throat"

Coo-coo-ca-choo-ca-coo-ca-coo-ca-choooo!

Professor HB (Caleb) decided to go up to his grandparents ranch for the weekend. I miss him already. I hope his trip will be okay, he was dreadding going up there last night.

Despite it being in the 90s (Fahrenheit) outside today, I managed to run the fastest I've ever run today. Whew, now time for some water!  ;D

Why is that?

Keaire must have signed out! I think that Caleb said that grandpa was a verbally abusive type, probably no fun to be around.

Oh. That sucks. I know the type since I have a couple of them in my family. I tend to fight back (verbally, not physically) and that tends to shut them up since they know they can't win against me. ;D While everyone else just caves in.

Excellent strategy hon, smart lady!  :)

Sat down and had a long chat with my aunt. Surprisingly, she's been nothing but loving towards me.

Which makes me feel way too lucky - like, can I give away one or two of my family? Make others' lives easier? It's kinda a survivor's guilt sort of thing.
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

I went to San Francisco today and rode my bike from bay to ocean and back, partly for research for an upcoming book. It was about an hour and twenty minutes westbound, due to some big hills on Page, my bike only have 6 speeds, and me not being a strong hill climber. And in spite of that workout, the eastbound return trip was only 55 minutes.

Spending a long day with a part of my family that i don't often see. So many laughs, so many jokes and non-alcoholic champagne.

I got to see Monsters University with my daughter/son this afternoon, and I'll be going to LGBTQ Girls Night later this evening.
