Cas

Hi, I'm Cas, 27 from England, UK.

To get the obvious out of the way first: I'm Genderfluid, FAAB and demi/pansexual.
At the moment I'm leaning towards the male end of the spectrum and I'd prefer male/neutral pronouns (they, them, their - I'm not too familiar with Xe etc yet), but I'm not too bothered if you use female ones. =)

While I've always identified as a tomboy and a general hater of gender stereotypes (well, hate is a pretty strong word, but y'know. Gender tends to make me feel uncomfortable), realising that there's such a thing as genderfluid is recent for me. I had that 'Hallelujah' epiphany moment when I came across it. For the last year or so I'd been considering whether I might be FtM, but was always a bit stuck because at times I feel very female. Realising that I didn't actually need to force myself into one or the other was a bit of an eye opener.

So I've recently been experimenting with things - binders, male hygiene products, clothing and considering doing something more flexible with my hair which is currently long and nearly always just scraped back into a ponytail or messy bun and forgotten about.

It's all been a bit of personal journey so far and I'm not really out to anyone except a couple of internet friends, so I'm looking forward to finding some resources, support and a community to share with! Looking forward to meeting you all.

Welcome to Susan's.  You will find that you are not alone by any means and except for the occasional ogre, (we all have our bad days), this place rocks.

Hi Cas, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 11928 . That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Hey Cas, big welcome!
I am a big fan of the assymetrical bob haircut.  Nothing says genderfluid in such an elegant way to me!  I am growing mine that direction right now.

Isnt it great when you realise you dont have to play by norms and be yourself?
Body... meet brain.  Now follow her lead and there will be no more trouble, you dig?

YES! The funny thing is, I always thought I was pretty liberated and good at not following society norms, buuuut actually there's been a lot I've been repressing without really realising. The past few months have such been so liberating. Thanks for the welcome =)
