So I've been on T for almost 8 months now, and I noticed something when I went swimming a few days ago. On my thighs, I have ~20 of these tiny scars at the injection site. They don't necessarily bother me, I just found it odd.

Anyone else have this issue? Will they go away?

What gauge needle have you been using to inject with?
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

A blah blog

The pharmacy gave me 23 gauge. I use the same one to pull back and inject.

i have loads on my thighs - so you arent alone, perhaps we are just prone to scarring :x

When you put the needle through the plunger of the vial, it significantly dulls the needle.  If you want to reduce scarring (and also pain), use a different needle to draw and then the 23 gauge to inject.  Drawing with an 18 gauge, for example, would be far easier than with a 23 gauge.

I went in the bathroom (best lighting in the house is in there) and checked both of my thighs. My legs are hairy all the way up but I don't see any scars. I do have tiny red bumps from ingrown hairs that keep popping up in random places with the hair growth. Your scars should eventually fade to nothing I would think. Maybe try your glutes for awhile and give your thighs a break?

I didn't use to visibly scar until around the time I started T. That includes the scars my face from breaking out lately. ;_;
