Well, my passing anecdote is I made an account as a girl on a dating site and then messaged a straight guy who I really liked on it. And then 2 days later we met and we really liked each other and now we're dating. So I guess I pass Mwahaha

That's so awesome! Congratulations! I have been seeing this guy but I wouldn't call him my BF but it is more then friends too lol so i guess it's complicated. It's a great feeling isn't it? I get so giddy when I see him!

Well two things today.

First I was in the car stopped at a red light and quickly fixing my hair. When I looked next to me a guy was staring at me and then suddenly looked startled. Then he gave me a thumbs up and took off.  That made me lol.

Then I was depositing a paycheck at the bank (it's a good day today!!) and the bank manager came over to the teller (who I had shown my passport to so she knew) and said oh okay well you're not on the account right? He didn't get it. This was after 3-4min interacting with him. So my voice must be passing in public, too

Going to be a while until I can comment here...
Most I got was kids asking if inwas girl/boy...
As I'm in boy mode.....

OK. Two of these in two weeks. I'm on a roll:

I'm at a happy hour at a table of people from my divorced and separated group. I strike up a conversation with this nice lady sitting next to me. She asks me about my husband. I explain that this is a same-sex divorce. She wants to know how we could be married if the same-sex marriage law is only a few months old. I manage to deflect the question.

Next she wants to know where the kids came from. I mentioned that my partner is a biological mother. She asks where the sperm came from. I answer with "it's complicated."

She's genuinely perplexed about all this. The truth clearly doesn't occur to her.

..and wait a sec... I guess I am more attracted to guys than girls now? That is new!

You know you pass when you walk into the toilets at college with some friends to wash your hands and they casually take a pee in the urinals mid conversation.

You know you pass when you go to a local restaurant dressed male androgynously with your wife and the young waitress says "Hi ladies what would you like to drink?" and again later when she says, "Can I get you ladies anything else?" She got a fat tip that day!

My partner and I were out to dinner and I used my debit card to pay for the meal.  It had my pre-transition name on the card and after the waitress ran the card she set it down in front of my partner calling him by the name on the card for signature.  I just grinned and turned the receipt around and signed.  It was the true dessert.

These are good stories :-).

Shan; I like that too.  Funny, I have had it happen that, even if someone is off with me and gender me female,  I find it a really positive experience.  Must be odd tho! They are thinking "I just insulted her and she started beaming with glee...  What?!"  :-)

I'd say spending a weekend full time in Chicago counts.
One of Anna's friends' friends seemed genuinely surprised when I told her - after spending most of a day moving stuff together.
Also the museum admissions lady commented on my sensible-for-Windy-City pants, and I think a bum made a pass at me.

Then I came back and got in my frumpy clothes (no time for laundry)... Totally male mode... And the cafeteria waiter called me 'Ma'am'!

At this point, I think I'm definitely ready.

Wearing a binder is, apparently enough for me to pass. Even if I do look like I belong in high school.

I spent all day yesterday at Pride Parade, and used male restrooms the entire time. I had only used the men's bathroom once prior to yesterday, too. Talk about a confidence boost!
I think it was, in part, the help of my friends. I don't know if I'd have the cajones to use the men's restroom with my partner around. 

I got stopped by the police and they threatened to call a female officer to search me and then thought I was lying to them when I said I am MAAB lol big misunderstanding lol also I now get directed to the womens room. So I went full time as I was living andro b4. Now I'm totally femme and look awesome! What a difference four and a half months of hrt makes...

The woman that cut my hair recently asked if I wanted her to shave my sideburns (I'm not on T) and then asked if me and my gf had any kids. Ah, the little things

Is it weird to find enjoyment in seeing the "double take" when they look up from the ID, though? For some reason their confusion brings me a lot of joy

When the almost exclusively female name on your ID card and mother's misgenderings aren't enough to make people use female pronouns.

Also I met up with some friends to whom I'm stealth, and we were hanging out with a bunch of guys (and one girl) they know. I was on a roll with my comedic streak, and one of the kids goes, "This dude right here is the guy," followed by my friend saying "No, he wants to be the guy" (in reference to the game I Wanna Be the Guy, not having to do with being trans). So I went "Yeah, I wanna be the guy" and he says "But you already are the guy!" and the others overhear and think I said I want to be a guy and go "Wait, you're not a guy?!?! No, bull****, you're a guy. Stop screwing with us man!". I explained the game reference to them and they were relieved, because apparently the concept of me being a girl was utterly mind-boggling and terrifying to them
