You can never change the bones, but if there's excess fat on your hips/butt you can burn it of with exercise and dieting. T might also help redistribute the fat on your hips/butt.

Think "endomorph body type" + "Rugby Legs" and keep working on it.  There are *heaps* of awesome male bods with good, thick legs.  On another thread, I saw some comparative measurements (hips to chest).  They were worried there was only four inches in the chest/hips.

I was born with testes/phallus and all the rest (I came here to look at FTM bottom work, originally as I lost my gonads and am getting an 'upgrade').  I measured last night.  Only just about that in the difference on my bod......

not if its the bones
if its fat on your hips you can get that away.

if your hipes is wide due to your bones alone then the only thing to do is train your upper body with wider waistline and wider shoulders,  to creat the illusion that you will have smaller hips compared.

I really don't think the bones have as much to do with it as people think.  Most of it is subcutaneous fat placement, and you can shift that.  Best of luck with it.

My hip muscles are much thicker than they were pre-T, so I had a bit of a trade-off. I lost weight, which helped me to lose some fat. I went on T, which shifted fat away from my hips but also built up the muscle in that area. I clearly lost inches in the hips, but when I was at my thinnest, I was running into a problem that a lot of FTMs encounter: I needed a smaller waist size in pants, but they couldn't accommodate my hips just right. So I compromised and found a waist size that was just right overall. They were a little loose without really bunching up, and they fit my butt well.

The problem is that if I had lost more weight, the proportions might have been off. But I didn't think I could lose more because it had been a struggle to get down that far. So I figured that I needed to just maintain the weight I had.

Easier said than done. I regained some of the weight, and now the proportions are definitely off again. When I look in the mirror, I see the hippiness. It's not that noticeable, but I'm looking for it.

I think the trick is to arrive at a particular happy medium that works for your body and your clothes--and learn to live with what you wind up with. If you are taller, that can help immensely. I'm reasonably tall for an FTM, but I'm short as cis guys go. So in my case, I definitely needed T to help me with the proportions.

Do you use a short binder or a long binder? underworks 977 compresses all the way down, so it flattens the hips too.

I've just started taking T at almost 50 years old. I'm very slim but I've got the same issue with hips/thighs. I've been working out my upper body with weights for months now and seeing some nice changes in my arms but I agree - those thighs are unmoveable, at least so far. I was quite underweight for several years in my late thirties and early forties and it didn't change a thing - my BMI was 15 and I still had those thunder thighs. I am considering liposuction there eventually. Has anyone thought of doing that? That's been my main source of body dysphoria as I've been lucky enough to have a very small chest issue, and I'm on the tallish side, my hands aren't small, and so it's just those darned upper legs.....

Do you walk on inclines? My thighs have gotten really small, and that's all I think I've done to them, exercise-wise

I have hips going on, it's not fat just the bone, but I'm learning to embrace and rock them. I have a good masculine torso, and t is really gonna help things even more. I kinda like my hips, used to be like "why can't they be straighter??" but in my learning to like them on myself, I also sometimes look at cis guys I'm into like the wrestler Randy Orton and go, "imagine if he had some hip going on, his body would be even more epic" breaking the gender binary yeah!  :D And maybe this'll make you guys with bigger thighs feel better, but have you see Randy's thighs? They're big beautiful masterpieces, so maybe if you can't ever for some reason get the smaller thighs you want, just know that there are guys like ol' Randy out there rocking their thighs (yeah his are muscley and maybe wouldn't be as big if he didn't work them out how he does but ya know...)

I'm almost a year and a half on T. I find it hard to gain muscle and before starting T I had a very obvious hour glass figure. I think my measurements at the moment are chest- 33" mid section- 28 1/2" and hips- 32"

I'm fairly certain the extra 1/2" on my mid section has only appeared in the past month or so which may be due to T alone but i think its because at the same time I took up cycling and swimming. I have seen much bigger improvements in the appearance of my hips over this month alone then any that I saw from lifting weights.

At the moment I'm trying to keep a bit if a tummy on me for abdominal phalloplasty so I'm not exercising as much as I'd like but perhaps you could give it a try for a month or two and see if you get better results?

I'd recommend doing some squats () and deadlifts (). Bridges ()are good too, but hard if don't have a strong back, imo, especially if you go full out. These kinds of exercises are good because they work everything, core, glutes, and legs. They'll also help you build up your back muscles, which will help you in other areas of your workout routine ie lifting heavier, holding longer, stretching further, etc.

Running and doing plyo circuits () are helpful for really targeting your legs. I'd also recommend doing some lunges (). Lunges can be hard on the knees though, so don't get all psycho with 'em or you'll be sorry.

Hope this helps.
