I wrote a song about my feelings lately. It is rather depressing and i'd like your opinion on it. Sorry for the vocals, some people tell me they're okay, but i hate my voice.

And, no, i'm not a user. I have to scrap that first verse.

I like it.

It's got a beat, and you can dance to it!  ;)

Nah - seriously... cool song.
I ain't scared... I just don't want to mess up my hair.

Thanks. The lyrics are deliberately cryptic and have two meanings.

Me personally, I love the vocals. Kind of on the verge of madness and ones step forward and you're there. Put a classic metal instrumental to that song and it would sound almost like Sabbath of the Ozzy variety. Good song though.

Well i am close to madness, and so is Sara (just kidding).

Oh well, a little insanity never hurt anyone. Or it never hurt me anyway. ;)

Insanity and the whole "musician" thing run in my family.

Yep, I really think that the prerequisite for being a musician is being a little insane. I can't sing, not even backup, cause I suck at it but I can put out some dirty, sleezy, adreneline soaked riffs. If I was totally sane, there is no way I could do some of the things that I do.

I would have, but my Ibanez (electric guitar) is out of order, so i had to do the entire backing track in GarageBand. I used a lot of compression and double-tracking on my voice and a harmonizer in spots (backing vox).

Edit: Now my voice is shot. Great.

LOL. I figured that from the video. ;) I used to be all about Gibson's until I screwed the neck up on a $1200 SG. After replacing it, it never sounded the same again to me, I am extremely picky though. Now it's Epiphones all the way and since Gibson owns Epiphone they're still true SGs and Les Pauls. I have 4 SGs, 2 Les Pauls and a Strat. If one goes down all I have to do is retune another and go on. I don't think I could even function with only one guitar.

The thing i ran my voice through before it even arrived on my computer is actually meant for guitars.

What is it? Is it the thing that Mick Mars uses on Kickstart My Heart with the tube coming out of it. My style is extremely basic, hard driving riffs with more bluesy style solos. I don't even have whammy bars and the only pedal that I use is occasionally a Wah Wah.

Just a cheap all-in-one processor with a very slight drive, automatic double-tracking and a very short slapback-delay.

The only good vocal bit occurs during the fade.

I like it, it's distinctive, has style, like the voice and the lyrics. Now I've heard it a couple of times to try and form an opinion I'm going back to sit back and enjoy it once more.

Constantin Stanislavski

Mistakes not only provide opportunities for learning but also make good stories.
