So, im midway to my fourth shot and am wondering, if these random bruises on my thighs are something to be super concerned about or are something that "just happens"?

I've never been one to bruise out of no where or easily, and I seem to notice them only when I wake up in the morning.  My e is not a daily a daily dose, its weekly im all I take daily is spiro.  one of my cousins says it could be a form of anemia and I should take iron suppliments?  my mom also has slight anemia and hypoglycemia.  I've never noticed the issue in my life before?

My wife says its prolly from a lack of vitamins, of which my sister agrees because of my "dieting"...which I doubt im still around 1200-1600 calories daily.  As for me?

I think it may be related to, ready, brace for it, brace for it.....smoking interacting in not good ways with my E.  However, I do not have muscle cramps, and this is the only area of my body that the bruising is located on, my inner, upper thighs.

So, being smart as I knew I'd have to cut out smoking, I am now wearing a nicotine patch in attempts to get this to work.  would rather be me, then smoking in misery without being me, and the complications that brings as where I am now at in my transition there is no "turning back to the old me" possible.

what are you ladies thinking aside from the obvious "stop smoking woman!!"  ?

I've had random bruises over the last several months. I think it's normal - skin changes faster than muscles do or something, and you injure yourself on accident.
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

This, is a relief :)

Also, estrogen makes the skin literally thinner, and bruises are basically bleeding under the skin that shows through. It makes sense that bruises would *show up* better on estrogen.

Personally, I never had "pressure bruises" before HRT - where there was no injury, but lifting/resting something heavy on my arms breaks a tiny blood vessel and it looks like a bruise later on. Or rather, my guess is it was happening all along, but it wasn't visible before.

If bruising happens without cause check if hematocrit (red blood cell volume in blood) is low.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

How do I check that at home? And as for pressure bruising, that makes sence, my latp top tends to sit, well, on my lap when I'm in bed lol! I never bothered to even *think* for one second that "huh maybe its a pressure bruise" lol
