I have heard people on here talking about bandaging after surgery. Isnt bandaging bad? Dont your surgeons not make you wear a post surgery binder?

From what I have seen, it just depends on the surgeon on how they want you to take care of the surgical sight. I would think though that most, if not all, would keep you in some sort of compression dressing for at least a week to reduce swelling.

yep, Garromone had me wear a HUGEEE ace bandage constantly for the first week.  Then you put it on if you have swelling so the swelling has nowhere to go/grow

The first week, it was pretty uncomfortable, I mean it sucked to bind 24/7 but its worth it in the end

My surgeon keeps you bandaged until the drains come out but after that you need to wear a surgical binder 24/7 for 6 weeks. Then post surgery scar care involves taping the scars for 6 months.

O.o I had a huge huge hematoma and I only wrapped up 24/7 for three weeks after reveal.  Guess s/he is really cautious.

He's a burns specialist as well so he is highly regarded in scar treatment. That could be why he does things a bit excessive. I dunno, it does seem odd compared to what I hear on here. But his results are fantastic.
