Thoughts? I got these done for Mcginn who may do my forehead. Is there enough bone to burr away there? Do I need a reconstruction? I have a consult w Spiegel next week. But he is like 6 thousand dollars more than she is, and I want to have the procedure done during my SRS w Mcginn...But I need your opinion on the bone thickness. Thanks!

Sorry, but there is no way anyone can respond to that.  We are not doctors, we are not surgeons.

I think you're underestimating our members, Sarah! They'll give it a shot, mark my words!

I thought that many of our members have had FFS or have been sutdying on it for some time, as I have? I would highly appreciate their informed opinion on this matter, and I would be surprised if no one has any experience with this topic before...If not, c'est la vie! But if anyone does have informed insight, or even an opinion...I'd love to hear.

While it is up to the surgeon, it does appear that there is sufficient thickness.  I have some x-ray experience and training.  But again it is up to the surgeon.

Well i took to photoshop to see if I could make an estimate of the possibility of results w burring....
Obviously I decided how much bone could be removed rather arbitrarily...maybe I didn't leave enough...who knows? Anyway, what do you think? Assuming that this is a feasible result in the first place, do you think it has been sufficiently smoothed?

Might be a good idea to send pictures to every
Surgeon

I kinda suspect a srs surgeon may not be as
Good as a cranial surgeon on bone work of the skull

Ask all of them...I know most of thier tech

Out of that...go only with the ones that say the same thing
As others ..and research before and afters..

It's a very very complicated thing to do...have been
Doing my research for well since January of this year
And I always have questions...and those answers pose more

you can study about foreheads here: http://www.virtualffs.co.uk/Forehead.html

at the bottom of the page, there is an example of a thin forehead bone.

It looks like there is enough bone for the burring. I think that Dr Mcginn is a reputable doctor and she will not do the surgery unless she is certain of the results.
I think that your forehead looks much flatter on the avatar picture, because on the x ray there is obvious male type sinus. Good luck with your surgery

I wonder - I have some recent CT scans of my face. Was done for looking into my chonic sinusitis. They took "slides" to see how my nasal and frontal sinus look like. Can one check in them if there is a male feature or not? Just curious - I doubt I would ever get a surgery like this, but I am presently trying to analyze what it is that got me misgendered recently, 13 years post op, so I am looking for clues.
