The police department has adopted a policy addressing how employees should deal with transgendered people in the field, believed to be the first of its kind in the Coachella Valley.

(So I'm very proud of Mattie and Thomas, and all the hard work they did to get this implemented!)

I like how a sensible policy that should make sense to everybody, including those who disagree with the transgender lifestyle, get this response in the comments:

"It is unfortunate that we live in a world and society that has to learn to deal with things, that in the perfect world that God intended for us to live in, where things like this and many more, we would not have deal with at all! Here's to the future and to how God intended for things to be!!!".

Yes, having the police treat people with dignity and respect is a violation of God's will. When will some of these people give it a rest.

Who is Thomas?  I see Mattie identified in the story.
