A month ago, it would've been this (talk about self-delusion, why am I here?):

You're a lonely little girl
But your Mommy & your Daddy don't care
You're a lonely little girl

The things they say
Just hurt your heart
It's too late now
For them to start
To understand
The way you feel
The world for them
Is too unreal
For you're lonely, lonely, lonely,
Lonely little girl
Oh, baby, poor baby . . .

Every night you sit in your room
Right by your radio
Reading your books
Pictures of the idol you love

The words that he sings
The way that he looks
In a picture on the wall
There's a tear in his eye

Must I really decide upon only one? x) I'd probably have a different one for every mood. Knowing me though most of them probably wouldn't have words. That's the way I often have all my music arranged on my iPod. A sad playlist, a happy playlist, an angry playlist, etc.

Some examples of some that the general populous might know I guess would be...

-Roads Untraveled by Linkin Park for a sad song...

-Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's for a happy song...

-Just Like You by Three Days Grace for an angry song...

Granted those are just a few of the emotions we all get and surely one would get tired of the same ones eventually. ^_^ but music is like reading a book. If the reader/listener connects with it and makes it their own, it becomes theirs.
- Circus Girl
- MtF
- Pre-HRT (for now)
- Call me Maka  ;)

For how could I ever ask someone to love me as a woman for my body, if I can't even love my body as a woman for myself?

Mine is Rolling Stones/Melanie 'Ruby Tuesday' which a dear friend said could have easily been written about me.

She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don't matter 'cos it's gone
While the sun is bright, or in the darkest night
No one knows
She comes and then she goes

[CHORUS]
Goodbye Ruby Tuesday
Who is gonna hang a name on you?
And when you change with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you

Don't ask her why she needs to be free
She's gonna tell you it's the only way to be
She just can't be chained to a life
Where nothing's gained and
Nothing's lost
At such a cost

[CHORUS]

There's no time to lose I heard her say
You've got to catch your dreams before they run away
Dying all the time
You lose your dreams, and you
Might lose your mind
Is life unkind?

[CHORUS]

[CHORUS]
"The truth within me is more than the reality which surrounds me."
Constantin Stanislavski

Mistakes not only provide opportunities for learning but also make good stories.

The life of a lonely fat freak is not the best life. Getting laughed at (because i'm ugly and fat?). Luckily Frank Zappa wrote several songs that celebrate being a freak. This is one of my favorites and definitely shows my attitude:

We are the other people
We are the other people
We are the other people
You're the other people too
Found a way to get to you . . .

Do you think that I'm crazy?
Out of my mind?
Do you think that I creep in the night
And sleep in a phone booth?

Lemme take a minute & tell you my plan
Lemme take a minute & tell who I am
If it doesn't show,
Think you better know
I'm another person

Do you think that my pants are too tight?
Do you think that I'm creepy?
Better look around before you say you don't care
Shut your fsckin' mouth about the length of my hair
How would you survive
If you were alive
->-bleeped-<-ty little person?

We are the other people
We are the other people
We are the other people
You're the other people too
Found a way to get to you

We are the other people
We are the other people
We are the other people
You're the other people too
Found a way to get to you

Do you think that I love you . . .
Stupid & blind?
Do you think that I dream through the night
Of holding you near me?

Lemme take a minute & tell you my plan
Lemme take a minute & tell who I am
If it doesn't show
Think you better know
I'm another person

No doubt about it! It WAS my theme song in the 1960s when I was trying  to figure all this out. My world and my life didn't make sense and everything was screwed up.

White Rabbit

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call to
Call Alice
When she was just small

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving
low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the doormouse said;
"Feed YOUR HEAD...
Feed your head"

I don't wanna be her
I just wanna be little old me
Shouldn't have to think
Who am I supposed to be today

And what gave you the right
To tell me who I should be?
What gave you that right?
'Cause I, I feel lovely the way that I am
(...)

Lovely, Sarah Haze
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

Will I live tomorrow?
Well I just can't say.
Will I live tomorrow?
Well, I just can't say.

But I know for sure
I don't live today.

No sun coming through my windows,
Feel like I'm sitting at the bottom of a grave.
No sun coming through my windows,
Feel like I'm sitting at the bottom of a grave.

I wish you'd hurry up 'n' rescue me
So I can be on my mis'rable way

I don't live today;
It's such a shame to waste your time away like this.

Will I live tomorrow?
Well, I just can't say.
Will I live tomorrow?
Well, I just can't say
I know for sure
I don't live today.

This one has been my favourite theme song ever during those long years spent in total confusion and self-denial - even when I had no idea what GD was and that it existed - I was still getting the idea ;).

MIKE OLDFIELD - TO FRANCE

Taking on water, sailing a restless sea
From a memory, a fantasy
The wind carries into white water
Far from the islands don't you know you're

Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of chance, will they find you?
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you?

Walking on foreign ground, like a shadow
Roaming in far off territory
Over your shoulder stories unfold
You're searching for sanctuary, you know you're

Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of chance, will they find you?
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you?

I see a picture
By the lamp's flicker
Isn't it strange how
Dreams fade and shimmer?

Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of chance, will they find you?
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you?

I see a picture
By the lamp's flicker
Isn't it strange how
Dreams fade and shimmer?

Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of chance, will they find you?
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you?

Never going to get to France
Never going to
Never going to get to France
Never going to
Never going to get to France
Never going to

It depends.  My life theme changes as my life's circumstances shift.  As of now, I would say the 8th String Quartet by Dmitri Shostakovich.  I love the piece, but never wanted it to be my life's theme music, lol.

Changes, visible changes
Sky looking so forlorn
It looks like the world's been born
On one more rainy day

Trying to see the sunlight
My heart's crying out loud
I try to see through the clouds
On one more rainy day

One more rainy day
Once again my mind is grey
This is what a rainy day can do
One more rainy day
One more rainy day

Sun starts shining on through
New day a day with you
It's strange what sun can do
On one more rainy day

One more rainy day
Once again my mind is grey
This is what a rainy day can do
One more rainy day
One more rainy day

&

April is a cruel time
Even though the sun may shine
And world looks in the shade as it slowly comes away
Still falls the April rain
And the valley's filled with pain
And you can't tell me quite why
As i look up to the grey sky
Where it should be blue
Grey sky where I should see you
Ask why, why it should be so
I'll cry, say that I don't know

Maybe once in a while I'll forget and I'll smile
But then the feeling comes again of an April without end
Of an April lonely as they come
In the dark of my mind I can see all too fine
But there is nothing to be done when I just can't feel the sun
And the springtime's the season of the night

Grey sky where it should be blue
Grey sky where I should see you
Ask why, why it should be so
I'll cry, say that I don't know
I don't know

&

You're lazy just stay in bed
You're lazy just stay in bed
You don't want no money
You don't want no bread

If you're drowning you don't clutch no straw
If you're drowning you don't clutch no straw
You don't want to live you don't want to cry no more

Well my trying ain't done no good
I said my trying ain't done no good
You don't make no effort no not like you should

Lazy you just stay in bed
Lazy you just stay in bed
You don't want no money
You don't want no bread

&

take a look at
  these dirty hands
take a look at this face these blazing eyes
do you see me as a broken man
  tell me
  are you really that blind

you got yourself a load of trouble now
you got yourself a bad deal
you say i've got a bad attitude
  how d'you think i feel

you got me locked in a paper cage
you think i'm chained up but i'm just tied down
step aside get out of my way
i won't hurt you i had enough being pushed around

you got yourself a load of trouble now
you got yourself a bad deal
you say i've got a bad attitude
  how d'you think i feel

  don't want a number
  i got a name
take a look at my face
  talk about a bad attitude
  things have got to change

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

CalmRage

(more because of the title, but the music also fits. The lyrics? I don't know.)
You keep on moving
Far away far away
You keep on moving
Far away far away
Everyday wheels are turning
And the cry still returning

Dawn will soon be breaking
The day has just begun
You put your arms around me
Like a circle 'round the sun
Dance across the seasons
To a place that no one knows
Where angels fear to tread

& a song that encapsulates my current overall mood. Take a look at the lyrics:

If you're driftin' on an empty ocean
with no wind to fill your sail,
the future, your horizon,
it's like searchin' for the Holy Grail.
You feel there's no tomorrow
as you look into the water below.
It's only your reflection
and you still ain't got no place to go.

Time will show,
when, I don't know.

Sail away tomorrow,
sailin' far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
I'll be there someday yea-yea-yeah yea-ye-yeah.

Oh, woman, I keep returnin
to sing the same old song.
The story's been told, now I'm gettin' old.
Tell me,where do I belong?
Feel like I'm goin' to surrender,
hard times I've had enough.
If I could find a place to hide my face,
I believe, I could get back up.

Time will show,
when, I don't know.

Sail away tomorrow,
sailin' far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But I'll be there someday yea-yea-yeah yea-yea-yea-yeah.

Sail away tomorrow,
sailin' far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But I'll be there someday yea-yea-yeah yea-yea-yea-yeah.

Sail away tomorrow,
sailin' far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But I'll be there someday yeah yeah yeah yea-yea-yeah yeah yeah yeah.
