Just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with this condition and, if so, did it affect your ability to have top surgery?

My surgeon requested a routine ultrasound - and it came back with multiple lesions, suggestive of fibrocystic breast condition or possibly just instances of cysts and fibroadenomas.  The radiologist wants a Fine Needle Aspiration to rule out cancer.

I am due to see my surgeon in three weeks for a consultation about top surgery - my GP thinks that perhaps this may fast-track the surgery since I am possibly at higher risk for breast cancer.

Just curious if anyone else could relate or had similar issues?

I didn't have it, but another guy I know had fibrocystic breasts and was able to get double incision top surgery.

Definitely something you need to followup on, could easily lead to you being able to get them removed for a good reason.  Good Luck

Might be. But I wouldn't get your hopes up. It is actually a pretty common condition and for some people they kind of come and go.
BTW, is it "fibrocystic or just cystic". Anyway good luck, it is pretty benign btw.

Thanks, all - makes me feel better.

@ aleon515 - neither really.  I said "fibrocystic" because that's all that comes up when I look for anything on multiple breast lesions.  My doctor was concerned as the radiologist said they really couldn't be sure what they were until they did an FNA - plus I don't have the normal hormone fluctuations that a "female of childbearing age" would have which often explains fibrocystic breast condition.  Just curious if anyone else who had been on T for a while had any issues with lesions or cysts.

I think I have this. I've had 1 small lump in both moobs ever since puberty (which is like 12 years now). They don't grow and are just...there. The doctor who examined me said it was nothing to worry about. I did worry about top surgery, like you, and posted about this in the top surgery part:

Only two replies, but yeah, I think there's nothing to worry about.
