All my life, I wanted to be a girl so much that I have looked at the possibility of everything.  But unfortunately when you know poeple that are close in your life, they more tend to say that I'll  never pass., and after a while, you start to believe that!

One thing that none of these understood was that God can blind the eyes of the observer so all he/she sees is a woman.  Just look at all the ugly men married to beautiful women and vice versa.

The tragic irony is the people MOST difficult to pass with are those we love... and with ourselves.

Very well put there Kate. I've been trying very hard with my family for them to accept me as their daughter, but beacuse I was born as a male, that is all that they see. I just wish that they coudl remove their blinders and see me for who I really am.

Over the weekend, I went to a shopping mall, and I was approached by a woman at a kiosk and she called me 'Sir' even though I was dressed, and I felt that I was passable. After she showed me what she was selling and I had spoken back to her, she then started to call me 'ma'am." Go Figure???

Sometimes I get a little freaked out still when with girl-friends, I am considered a female at times even by strangers when I'm not trying to pass. Cases in point: Many times I'll be outside the office with my friends talking, someone that one of the girls knows walks up, and says "hi, girls, how's it going?" I am not hiding or invisible! I'm usually right there in the middle of things.

That has happened more times than I can say, and I'm talking about not being dressed or trying to pass in any way. Freaky.

Also, I got an email from a co-worker the other day that was sent to many others. The subject of the email? "hi pretty lady"  It was an email that talked about the goodness/greatness of women and how we should be supporting each other. Every other person receiving that email was a gg. Not me!

modified again to say that I do have noticeable breasts (but not big) that I don't attempt to conceal, so that may have something to do with it also.

whew. writing is complicated sometimes!
