Heh heh. Hello there! Nice to meet you all.

Now, who am I?

Age: 25
Gender: FTnotquiteM (which is short for "if a world-renowned mage came along and told me they could transform my body into a fully-functioning male one, I would say yes to that in an instant, but I'm not necessarily a man as such.")
Preferred pronouns: They or he
Nationality: British
Likes: MUSIC, video games, drooling over high-spec computers, wiki-walking, philosophy, psychology, learning new things, drawing, sadistically tormenting all my characters
Dislikes: Needless drama, illogical social norms, things not being just right
My story:
I started feeling dysphoric about living in a female body at maybe 8 or so, but didn't properly get in touch with my gender identity until my second year of university. Now that I've embraced it within myself, I actually feel very positive about it, despite the dysphoria. I don't really talk about it, though, as I'm not actually 'out'. I'd like to be, but... well, in short, I have all the courage of a particularly timid dormouse. ;D I also just kind of live in my head, admittedly, and I've noticed I have a habit of thinking myself to look more 'masculine' than I actually do. Doesn't mean I've managed to completely 'tune off' from the world outside my head, though, and it still sucks when I get referred to as feminine. I will admit that depression plays a part in my keeping it all to myself as well.

But yes. Why am I the 'King of Jupiter'? Well, my sun sign is Sagittarius, and the ruling planet of that is Jupiter. I've also always been a bit of an 'alien' in comparison to other people, heh. (And I don't think I've mentioned until now that I'm quite the hermit at present!) Then there's the whole thing where I just like to give myself regal titles for whatever reason. ;D Usually I'm a prince, but here I'm a king. Haha!

Right, well, I shall stop babbling. I hope what I have typed at least makes some sense. Sometimes my mind floats off all around the solar system and it's hard to stay focused. But I am looking forward to talking with you all!

Hi, welcome to Susans!  I love your name and the reasoning behind it being that I love the planets. :)  Video games are awesome and I too refer to myself as a prince, king, or alien.  Living inside the head is the best!  I do it all the time.
Feel the need to ask me something or just want to check out my blog?  Then click below:

Hey and welcome to this forum (which I also entered only a short time ago).

Do you plan on changing your body to be in sync with your inner self?

And yeah, video games rock.

KingofJupiter

Thank you both!

I would certainly like to. I've thought about it a lot. If I could at least have top surgery and a hysterectomy, that would be great. I've sort of accepted that I won't be able to be 'like a cisguy' downstairs, however.

Hi KingofJupiter, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 12150 . That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Welcome, your Highness.  We don't often get royalty on the boards.   ;)

By any chance, have you met Sir Loin of Boeuf?

:)

I'm particularly interested in Eastern philosophy and thought these days (for example, I studied the likes of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhist philosophy while I was at university), but I tend to be drawn to anyone whose way of thinking was 'outside of the norm' in some way. People like Diogenes of Synope, for instance, I find rather fascinating.

My own philosophy is essentially that people should be able to do what they like as long as it causes no unnecessary harm, and that one should always have a mind that is open to learning more. I also think that it is not only healthy but important to question the society one lives in as well as one's own way of thinking. After all, it's easy to cling to destructive ideas if we've seen them as 'normal' since childhood, and we can only recognise an idea as destructive and seek to change it if we engage in honest reflection. Our knowledge of truth evolves over time, and society should evolve with it rather than stubbornly sticking to tradition.

I think we'll be friends. I also studied a lot of Buddhism and Taoism when I was in school and I'm a super huge fan of Diogenes, he was super cool :D

BeefxCake

welcome!

I just joined too, I feel like we've got a bit in common with the living in our heads. I have this whole other 'universe' basically and i am perfectly content thinking about teh possibilities, but acting on them is another story XD took me months of thought and playing scenarios in my head before i even mentioned my gender confusion to my family XD

nice to meet you, welcome!

Welcome to Susan's, your majesty! I'm the queen of... the... T.A.R.D.I.S.?

I also enjoy many of the things you said you like. I was also lacking in courage, still am, but I can tell you, once you start being able to live outside of your head, life gets a whole lot better.  ;)
