Mlle. Glistenburg

Hello lads and ladies,

I have started my next phase of the transition (laser hair removal) and will be wanting to start saving for SRS as soon as possible. I originally wanted to go to Dr. Bowers but after a lot of research I am thinking of going with Dr. Chettawut. Any thoughts, recommendations, and/or experiences you would like to share so that I make a well informed decision?

Much love and hugs,

Jamie Glistenburg

Hi Mademoiselle,

I'm going to Suporn. I understand you're dropping Bowers - I wouldn't go to her in a million years - for Chettawut, however I heard very little about him.
I'm curious if you have considered Suporn. If so, what are you reasons to go to Chettawut over Suporn.

Just wondering why you wouldn't go to bowers?

My knowledge of chett is that he's a good surgeon although some people have issue with him (which I suppose applies to ANY surgeon). I originally planned on going with him but couldn't because of issues. Supposedly he uses a similar technique as suporn although manages care differently which is where I hear claims against his team.

I can probably guess why but I'll let the original poster give her reason :P

Besides the fact I'm not circumcised so it wouldn't make any sense to choose a surgeon who practice the inversion technique, I'm just not crazy about Bowers. I know three girls who went to her, all of them asexual and very anti-men with no sense of humor whatsoever - one of them even lectured me not to have FFS with Zukowski because she thinks he's a perv.

Oh ok. I still don't understand but if you say do I'm sure it's a really good reason

I can't get mine done in thai...don't ask...haha

My choice is going tj be either mcginn or brassard.
And I'm torn in which one...
I still lean to mcginn....I am going to need sexual performance
And appearance.

Plus I actually heard the only uniqe thing about suporn is
Price . .doesn't matter don't think ill meet them...
Plus suporn is about the same cost ad mcginn...will
Actually save money I believe.

Hi,
Two of my friends did their GRS over the last year, one with Chett back in November and the other with Brassard in March. I spoke regularly with both, both in the days after their surgery and since they got home.
Both are very satisfied with their results and recovery time has also been very similar, 2-3 months, but the immediate aftercare was definitely far better in Montreal than in Bangkok, private residence with Dr Brassard versus hotel accomodation with Dr Chettawut.
However there is also a very big difference in price, surgery with Chett costs just over half what it costs with Dr Brassard. I also got the impression that communication was better with Dr Brassard's team but it was still not brilliant and the date of the surgery was also changed after all arrangements had been finalized meaning that my friend had to change her flight plans at her own cost. For me, that alone would knock Dr Brassard off my list.
I have also had contact with Dr Djordjevic in Belgrade ,who I really liked on the interpersonnal level and who has apparently helped a couple of people here recover from the consequences of their surgeries with others. Since it is quite easy for me to go to Belgrade, I plan to go and see him some time over the months ahead to look at that option more closely
Hope that helps.
Bises.
Donna

P.S. Prices I was given for surgery with Chett: 8000€, Suporn: 12000€, Brassard: 15000€, Djordjevic : 10000€

Chett was my first choice but I decided against him for reasons not related to his technique - I just can't afford to spend a month in Thailand, I have no one to leave my cat with and my business would suffer quite a loss over a month and 24 hour plane ride back home with 2 layovers is not that appealing after the major surgery down there. And you won't even save that much with high airfares and hotel prices. And in case you would need revisions... going back to Thailand on my own dime? Doesn't sound good at all. That's why I will be going to McGinn, she's only about 5 hours car drive from me.

I went to Chettawut, and am very pleased, if you have any question feel free to pm me, and see my topic here https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,137331.0.html
it is my first hand experience with good and bad experiences in it.
I am overall very happy and glad I went there, communication sometimes is an issue. if you decide to go there be sure to get plane tickets in advance like 2 months because if not they will be astronomical!

I am a Bowers girl at exactly 6 months, happy as I can be, and I have a sense of humor, even about the whole experience, hospital and otherwise.  I was circumcised, and have 7 comfortable inches of depth, and 4+ inches of circumference.  Single surgery with my labia minora made from the lining of my penile shaft urethral tube, which is a mucous tissue, and I do have some natural lubrication which is nice in the early stages of ________________.  She uses some penile shaft tissue in the vagina, but a big part of the V is from the scrotal skin.  I have a gynecologist now who thinks I look more natural than most of her Cis patients do there, and at 4 months she did the speculum exam on me and told me there are two lines of very fine scar tissue going front to depths, but that and missing cervix (which happens to her cis patiients too for cancer) is the only obvious issue of my being trans.

Marci can be a little "matter of fact" and gets you up and moving at 48 hours, but she can be stopped and asked questions, and will give answers.  When I saw her on the day I had packing and catheter taken out, I got a nice big hug out of her.

The hospital staff at Peninsula Hospital was so darn sweet and caring and accepting, you hit a nice adjective and it applies to them.  The food in the hospital is great, and San Mateo, Burlngame, Palo Alto area has some of the greatest eating I can think of.  San Francisco is a MUST SEE area with some neighborhoods for our kind,.

Humming a song to the tune of "I left my heart in San Francisco" but what I left was not my heart, 10 miles south.  Yes I highly recommend Marci to any of my friends.

Suporn's price is 535 000 Thai baht, which is currently 13,500 - 14,000 euros

You also have include the costs of a genital hair removing for the non-thai SRS surgeon's. This is not required for Suporn or Chett, so you save these expenses too

Mr Brassard does not recommend genital hair removal as the hair follicles are removed during surgery.
