Bleh. If I was born anatomically correct, I would have been named Giselle.

*shudder*

There is nothing more stripper-like a name than that (No offense to any Giselles out there)!  :P

My parents would have named me Nancy. And though I really dislike it, I wish it was my name.

Suzanne. Ewwwww.

My dad's idea anyway. I think my mom wanted to name me after that girl on the King and I who gets executed near the end.

I was going to be Drew. Not a bad name in my opinion, but since I have a friend named that I went with something else.

I was born out of wedlock and put up for adoption. When I met my mother 40 years later, she said she was going to name me Sheila - I told her I am glad she put me up for adoption because I HATE that name! My sister got stuck with it LOL!

Well, my maternal grandmother was named Anne, and my mother's name is Anita, so she would have continued the trend by naming me Anna.

Sadly, someone else got the name before me.
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

I actually have no idea, It would be a bit weird for me to ask my parents. I wouldn't mind the name Riley though.

I would have been called Matthew, but shortened to Matt.  I don't mind the name at all, I actually considered it, but I wanted a name that began with an 'A', so Alex it is.

I was going to be named Jackson, but then my cousin was named that first, so I would have been named Robin instead.

Penelope or Sibella..

And mum wonders why I didn't give her any input this time around.. lol

I was going to be Karen, but my mom couldn't remember what had been chosen for my middle name.

I like that name, though. I totally could've been a Karen.

Probably something trendy listed in a baby name book- my mom went for that nonsense with both my brother's and my original name.  I had 5 people in my graduating class that had my same name, and it wasn't a common name that sticks around over the years.

Or - I could have been (family name) IV ... I thought about doing that when I changed my name but figured it was not my place, and I don't talk to my parents and they don't know about my transition, so I couldn't ask them.

Joe.

I was going to be called Daniel. However, when my parents renamed me, that isnt the name they chose. I guess I just don't look like a Daniel lol.

My mom said, we never thought of a male name for you, we KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO BE A GIRL.

lame!

Catherine, or Lauren. I used to use the latter name but it was made hateful in my ears by transphobic friends, so when I came out of denial again decades later I picked my current name instead.

I am pretty sure it would have been - yes, You guessed right -  Emily ;).
Since I turned out such a disappointment to my mom, they gave me the male version...

I'd have been given the name that my parents later gave my little sister. Obviously that one's no longer an option.
