Hmmm.  I'll have to check that out.  I am in Ventura County, so not real close to you.  Let me see what I can find out.

Where's Canyon Country? There's BeingMe in Orange County, Transgender Perceptions in LA, LA Gender Center in LA, that group that Casey Weitzman runs that I don't remember the name of in LA, I heard LA Gay & Lesbian Center is starting up their MTF trans group again soon, and a few more. So that's LA and Orange County, I'm not sure of others :) Good luck! I started my transition at the Orange County one and have been to the Transgender Perceptions one maybe 5-6 times over 5 years.

Canyon Country is the greater Santa Clarita/Newhall/Castaic area.  Off of Interstate 5 and Highway 14 to Palmdale

I am in Valencia/Santa Clarita.

From what I could find the only support groups Santa Clarita has are specifically for children and teens, nothing for adults.

I'm still trying to find a good nearby or even in LA that I can assess whether it would be a good match before driving all the way down there to get more info on it.

I'm in Los Angeles/SFV and have never actually ever been to a support group.  All I have ever had was my former therapist (I graduated  8)), online people, personal friends and other MTFs I've met at electrolysis.

I am curious if anyone here has ever been to a Los Angeles area support group and how it all went.   I am not sure if that sort of thing is even for me, or if I would be of much value in that context.   I suppose I'd be willing to give it a try though?

I'm planning to check out one or two when I figure out which ones to try.

I know no other trans people in offline life.  So at the moment, support group seems like a good way to meet and make friends within the trans community.
