So i was talking to a friend today and thru our convo had an awakening.....So what if im plus sized or not!! She pointed out that as long as im happy that's all that matters plus she said that big girls have basically everything i want post transition, huge boobs and a butt, that matches, wider hips, more feminine curves etc. etc. and so on. Plus she had a point, the extra boobage makes hiding implants so much easier and they look more natural after healing. So yes i may be a size 12/14 and may get to a 16/18 after i go back on hormones but i don't care anymore. So if your a fat chick and are proud of it, let me hear a big ol HELL YEAH lol.

Our society heaps all kinds of derision against plus-sized people. I think it's just old fashioned hate. My parents were both plus-sized and successful, good people.

I think society is starting to get past it tho. While out to lunch my friend got so many looks and only 2 were negative.....most were guys drooling. Plus on one plus side, when skinny girls are hating there small boobs, us big girls.get bigger boobs naturally!!

I don't mean to be rude, and I'm happy that you're happy, but 5'10" 220lbs is a BMI of 31.6, and a BMI of 30 or greater means that you're not just overweight, you're obese. Obesity is directly associated with a considerably shorter average lifespan; you should strongly consider losing weight.

Sushi, I know you don't mean to be rude. But telling someone they're obese, when they have not asked for health advice (and OP most certainly asked nothing of the sort), is IMO definitely pushing the bounds of propriety .

Once upon a time, being slim and trim also meant you were poor and a peasant.

But I still don't ideally want this tire :)
Well being TG is no treat, but becoming separated has sure caused me more trouble that being TG ever will be. So if I post, consider it me trying to distract myself from being lonely, not my needing to discuss being TG. I don't want to be separated a lot more than not wanting to be male looking.

I'm fat, im happy and don't care. Honestly i would much rather die fat and happy, then skinny and starving.

I understand your sentiment to some degree, but I disagree. The OP asked "so what" if she's "plus sized" or not, as if there was no downside to being overweight or obese other than social stigma. There are many universally recognized health risks associated with obesity. I am classified as "overweight" and I'm working toward losing the weight, because I am concerned about the health risks. If the OP is truly at peace with a vastly increased risk of developing type II diabetes, heart disease, pulmonary embolism, and many other complications associated with obesity, I believe it probable that this must be a manifestation of some form of depression or addiction. I've known people with such bravado regarding heath risks from unhealthy lifestyles, and I can tell you from experience that they have a very different take on the situation after developing complications that likely resulted from their poor life choices. The good news is, it's almost never too late to turn it around, I would say certainly not in the OP's case. How can presenting valid, possibly lifesaving, information in a constructive manner be considered to be "pushing the boundaries of propriety"?

OK

I'm going to put a warning in here.

I am unhappy with  several aspects:

Sushtime made a post that began "I don't mean to be rude," and the posted about the dangers of obesity.  kariann330 giving a smite for that post, I am displeased at that smite, although I can understand it.

Su->-bleeped-<-ime has now made an apologetic post with clarification.

I need to go to bed, I'm in Australia and a day ahead and I'm tired.

When I come on in the morning I expect to see a resolution between Karianne and Shu->-bleeped-<-ime.

I will leave it there. I will however impose my own resolutions if need be.

It's pushing the boundaries of propriety in that your comments on the OP's size or health were not asked for. It's great that you're losing weight (I am too). But that has nothing to do with the OP which talks about how she's content with her size. In that context, your comments ARE rude.
