The program, "Preventing Suicide in the Latino and Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning Populations," will be presented in two sessions and is open to the public.

The first session will deal with preventing suicide in the Latino population, said Judy Ashby, a member of the Illinois Suicide Prevention Coalition that is sponsoring the program in conjunction with the Jackson County Mental Health Action Team and the SIUC Center for Rural Health and Social Service Development.
