Let's just start by saying, when I was younger, I really wanted a 'mother & daughter' relationship, and I never got it. Now, it seems I am starting to get a glimpse of such forming. Things that have been said, the way my mom acts, show a bright future.  :icon_woowoo: She has told me, she doesn't want to lose contact with me, and that she has felt that we've actually been getting closer and all that. After learning of her fears though, I invited her to come to lunch with me, just the two of us, and she since accepted. Hooray! Well, hooray, right? Well, except it is way out of my comfort zone! *Feels a bit nervous...* Meep.

By that, I mean ... I used to be very anti-social and I would NEVER be the one organizing any get-together of any number of people, I was quite content not bothering, not being around anyone. Perhaps that's just because it was tiring due to what I was hiding, but the thing is, now that my true self is coming out into the light, it's surprising even me. I am surprised I went and asked to go to lunch with her, I am surprised at quite a lot of things I do, it's like I am getting to know another person entirely. That's how it feels!

So my question is, do any of YOU good folks... feel that you are getting to know another person, when your true self gets ahold of things? Any sort of thoughts like that? Also, I am not crazy, I know there's not REALLY another person, it's just that how it feels, it feels so foreign and weird at times, that's how I have to describe it.  :icon_mrhappy: It's nice to get to know that new person though, because I've wanted to get to know them all this time.

Yes and no. Since I already realized many aspects of my true self, it's not much left to surprise me. But still there are aspects unrecognized.

It's a nice little adventure, right?
