Hello Everyone!  :D Maka here with her 100th post!!  :D Woo!! Let's hope it ends up having some significance.  ;)

Okay, so I was thinking, how often do our transsisters talk to there transbrothers and vice versa? Personally I know I like to cruise the FtM boards a lot even though a lot of my problems are quite the opposite of theirs. Hey, I'm a curious creature and it interests me, and I don't have any evidence but I'm betting a lot of you are curious ones too.  ;) Now there's nothing that prohibits nor discourages one from spending time on the opposite board, but I think there should be a child board in the transsexual section specifically for sisters and brothers to talk to each other about what it's like on the opposite side of the spectrum. Because not only is it important for our sense of self validation to find others that are similar to us, but it is also important that we find other people who are different than us. I still wouldn't know what to call this new section, but I think it's a good idea! A place for topics like "I'll trade you," or "how do ftm feel about mtf?" (That one I saw on the ftm boards) and you know just things like that.  ;D

Anyway, let me know what you think guys and gals!  :D I think we could make it happen!

With Passion and hopeful wishes, yours truly for her 100th post,

For how could I ever ask someone to love me as a woman for my body, if I can't even love my body as a woman for myself?

I'm envisioning it as ending up with a lot of locked topics, just the way things seem to go when the two get together on topics.

Devlyn

Locked threads know no bounds! I don't see the need for a specialized board , we are all free to chip into any conversation as is.

Might be nice to have a few intergender pinned topics in the Trans general board - say, a 'fabulous' thread for guys to comment on the girls and vice versa.
Anything else just goes in the trans forum itself already.
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

I think the general outlook is that it's okay to cross into the other boards and talk, but I can understand the feeling of being bashful about it. I don't want FtM to feel like I'm stepping on their toes or invading their discussions, although I realize that's probably incredibly irrational of me to the vast majority of them.

I also become very curious about FtM discussions and frequently lurk on the boards. I only chime in when it seems like they show an interest in the opinion of an MtF, though -- for example, in one discussion where FtMs were asking if MtFs would date them. I felt the need to defend them as men like any other and that I would absolutely date one if he were compatible with me. Other than that, though, I remain shy.
Why do I always write such incredibly long posts?

I would like to see some threads like this. If you're thinking of starting one, I'd say the "Transgender Talk" board is a good place to post them.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

What's this bit of the boards for if not for stuff like that?  Maybe I'm missing some unwritten rule here...

I think you have it exactly right.

I hesitate to post in the ftm section sometimes because I don't want to pester the boys.  Yet, that is probably a stupid way of looking at it.  Instead of making a new category, we should probably get over our internal discomfort about crossing "gender lines".  I would welcome more male input on the mtf section, and I bet the guys feel the same way.  If not, they will have to deal with it,lol.

We can do brother-sister talk here in the "Transsexual Talk" or "Transgender Talk" section.

Once in awhile I pop into the MTF board, but not too often. Some conversations seem inappropriate for me to step into, like there's no reason for me to join on certain topics like wigs or breast forms or other stuff like that. I have been seeing more girls in the FTM section lately, so I think people aren't too hesitant to join into conversations on the other boards.

I think its a shame not to join the other board :-\. I just check on what seams relevant or interesting for me, so often I also look at the other bords, mtf, crossdresser, androgynes intersex and so on..
it can also be usefull.

first of all, Somethimes I have questions specially related more to mtfs then why should I ask that on a ftm board?
secondly then theres advice mtfs could give better or maybe give another perspective into.

They are not very friendly, usually :P. Sometimes, posting in FtM part is like talking with a brick wall ;).

^ This exactly

I feel that the transgender talk section achieves that goal. I post there when I'm looking for the perspectives of both ftms and mtfs.

I suggest that all of us girls launch a secret attack into the boy's headquarters.  We will invade their forum during the summer and have them taken out before the winter.  >:-) We can call it "Operation Girlarossa".   Trust me it will totally work as it has never failed before.

The bad news are - appearently there are no headquarters.. That board operates like some sort of hivemind...

I will trust that this is all in fun, in jest.

Otherwise I would lock the thread.

I love the guys side, I can't resist a barbershop topic (please, ditch your stylists and get real haircuts!) or a good urinal thread. I've never had any problems over there  :eusa_liar:   well, OK, there was that one epic brawl!

You mean you think Operation Girlarossa is joke and not my sincere plan to take over the ftm forum?  Why I am insulted Ms. Louise.    ;)

How could someone have doubts in Your capability of implementing such a gem of strategic and tactical brilliance??? Btw, when we have taken over their board (and I am saying "when" not "if") - what are we going to do with it?
