I'm actually not one, but I am trying this workout routine anyway. My friend doing it with me sort of does fit that description though he's just starting to get pudgy around the middle. I'm actually a mesomorph for the most part with a tendency to be kind of bulky and I can easily get a little overweight if not conscientious. But I thought this workout might be helpful to a lot of guys here and I was curious what you think of it and whether it's something you might like to try. And if you do, I'd be curious to hear how it works out for you.

I find it appealing because it means a lot fewer exercises that hit a broad array of muscles well just 3 times a week, because that means I'm more likely to do it and stick with it rather than getting daunted by an elaborate routine 5 times a week.

Historically, I don't like having a gym partner because I like just going to the gym at my own convenience and not having to coordinate schedules and such. However, we've been doing this together and I like it. We're motivating each other and watching each other's form.

Just wanted to add that the link Dalebert posted above is attached to a site that is a really great resource for people who are interested in losing weight and eating better (Nerd Fitness). The guy who runs it also does other neat and interesting posts about travel.  He does want to sell you his ebooks, but I can't blame him for that, and the site content is all mostly agenda free and worth checking out.

This is pretty sound (although pretty standard) bodybuilding advice. I agreed with most of what he said.
