i know a lot of guys not on T yet but they have facial hair ,they told me if i shave i mean without u having hair if you shave ur face it will grow!! is that true?! and if it true does it look like normal male facial hair or different?!!
Sometimes, it's hard to find words to tell you how much you mean to me. A lot of times, I don't say anything at all. But I hope someday, you'll understand, having you is what I live for...(I Love you my Queen )

It doesn't grow longer or thicker if you aren't on T and shave regularly.

Shaving facial or body hair gives the hair a blunt tip. The tip might feel coarse or "stubbly" for a time as it grows out.
During this phase, the hair might be more noticeable and perhaps appear darker or thicker — but it's not.

Some guys also dye their facial hair pre-t, making it more noticeable.

But nothing compared to being on testosterone I'm afraid :-\

I think it's a myth, but it will feel different. Another thing I've heard is that very light facial fuzz can misgender you.

It's a myth.  The myth comes from how your hair looks thicker/darker after shaving when it's growing back (like on your arms/legs.  The reality is that the part you see is just what the hair regularly looks like closest to the follicle, as it grows it just looks lighter because the hair is thinner at the ends but the reality is nothing's actually changed.  It's more an illusion, but still only happens where there's already hair growth.

If you don't have hair on your face, it won't grow just because you shave.  You could try something like a comb in hair/beard dye if you have decent peach fuzz.  It's not perfect but if you have decent peach fuzz it might be an option.

But like Jay said, peach fuzz can be a tell.  Unless you look like a pre-pubescent boy it can have people questioning your gender, so be careful, buddy!

Nope, I'm afraid shaving won't make it grow.   There's only one thing that makes facial hair grow, and that's T.  Blokes who have facial hair pre-T have naturally high T levels.  It doesn't always look like man hair either,  or at least mine doesnt.  I have some proper beard hairs (which are white) and the rest are very fine, soft hairs like peach fuzz but half an inch long.

LOL. After reading this, I had my gf put some of her mascara on my chin to try and see what I might look like with a goatee. My face just looked dirty! She's such a good sport.

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.

I'm not entirely sure I should even be saying this. But the psych med Depakote for mood swings caused me to grow facial hair, more than I had anyway. Since I went off of it the facial hair did not go away. Instead the hairs have grown in number (though I do shave.) This could be dangerous however. It was several years before this actually happened and I also developed polycystic ovarian syndrome issues and some temporary hair loss that went away when I went off the drug. Honestly, it's kind of nice that I have the hairs now but I wouldn't encourage going this route. It's too dangerous and unpredictable.

I know one better. A guy did it with the comb in hair dye but left it on for way too long and it dyed his face! It's okay, he found a way to wash it off but man did it crack me up when I heard!

That's a very odd report.  Depakote has a well known side effect of hair loss in near 25% of those who use it.

Depakote caused me to lose hair in some places and grow hair in others, before I went off of it.

After I went off of it the hair loss seemed to stop or slow down, but for some reason the hair growth on my face did not stop and actually sped up.

Kinda unusual results. Anyway, nothing I would recommend messing with. It was mostly ineffective for moodiness.

Ha ha we must know the same guy!  Yeah the guy I know tried to darken his thin, reddish goatee to match the hair on the rest of his head.  Right before going to work!  Unfortunately it looked Jet Black, and appeared almost like it was painted on, like a cartoon.  In a panic, he tried everything he could find to remove it; paint thinner, drain cleaner, Goo Gone, trichloroethane....  (hope not on that last one!).  I don't remember what he said eventually removed it.

Like others said, shaving won't make it grow in like a cis-male's hair. It's kind of like how when ladies shave their legs, the hair seems think and course when it's first growing back, but after a week or two of growing in, it gets soft again.

But there are some bio-females who do grow facial hair. Like, people with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome might grow dark and course facial hair, either in certain areas on their face or all over. Some people naturally have slightly higher T levels which makes hair grow (I get some dark and course hairs which I need to shave, but only on my chin). It also seems to depend on one's ethnicity too, I know many ladies of Azorean ancestry who need to shave and wax all over their face, there's also Balpreet Kaur who almost has an entire beard.

But unless you just happen to have PCOS, a hormonal imbalance, or genes that allow you to grow darker and longer hair, there's really no way to grow a beard without going on T or finding some alternative way to safely raise your T levels.

I'd like to add that this isn't always true. Not everyone gets facial hair with t.
Gender expression is NOT gender identity.
