Oriah

I was asked today why I never posted an introduction...so after thinking it over, although I've been here a while, I'm going to post one, just for the sake of things.

I started living full time about the same time I dropped out of college when I was 19.  I'd hang around on campus, and kept going to class, the only difference was that I was living off campus and wasn't paying for the classes anymore...after spending a couple of years there continuing my education off the record and studying in a local dojo, I set out for California to live with a friend when I was 21.  I started HRT in California, but ended up hating LA and moved off to Oklahoma.  Now I've married into a 19 acre farm where I and my lover tend to our small orchard, our gardens, and our chickens, geese, rabbits, goats and donkey. I spend most of my time tending to the house and farm, feeding critters, building pens, treating sick animals, butchering, watering, or shooting venomous snakes.   We have a child due in a month, and we're excited for our new addition and to have another pair of hands to work the farm in a couple of years.

I've been trying to convince my loves to buy a farm, but it isn't working yet.  I've just convinced one to have rabbits in our urban backyard.  So jealous of you for that! :)

If you get the chance, you should try breeding a New Zeland rabbit with an American Blue.  That hybrid gives the best meat EVER!

I moved here to the farm as a migrant worker.  Fell in love with the farmer's daughter!

New Zealands were on my list,  I will have to look for an American Blue, that hasn't been a breed that I've seen in this area (I'm in SW Missouri).

Jeebus, are you just here to troll everyone? ;)

Hi Oriah, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7006. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.
