Hello. Thank you for the forums, and somewhere to chat.
I am new to this website. I have, come out of the closet ,to only 4 family members at this point.
Since making that decision, my mind has been clear, full of clarity, and yet still confused.
I know, what I need and want to do, to move forward.
I am married with 2 teenagers. My wife was the first I told, then my 30 year old niece , and then my older sister and her husband.
So, my niece has not and will not speak to me since I told her. My wife is totally confused , but has been lovely. She even bought me flowers.
My sister and husband, I think are still in shock, but it's only been a week at this point for them.
I know, that the road ahead is going to be hard at times, but where I was dark and scary.
I have not told my children yet and plan to do that during school holidays in January.
However, I am so happy with my self now, that I have allowed myself to be who I am. Little steps for the sake of everyone I love.
Okay, I will not ramble on.

Hi Michelle, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7040. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

Michelle, pleased to meet you.  I have four kids, aged 26-19.  All adults now, but two still at home (and in college).

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
Thank you Franie for sharing your story. I can relate to your story, except I didn't get caught wearing mums or sisters clothes. The only time I got told off was wearing dress ups with my little sister. I was also 13. It was a defining moment that is still so clear. "take off that dress, your too old for wearing dress up's." No, No, not as far as I was concerned. So since then I had been able to keep it secret. Now, I fully intend to transition. It's been 4 weeks since I told my wife and niece, niece is 30 year old nurse. I had a great relationship with her. She still wont speak to me at all. My wife, maybe in denial, maybe not, has and is supportive, but cried again last night. My sister said to me yesterday, the more she thinks about it, the worse it gets for her. So, I might lose her as well. I havn't told my other sister, brother or parents yet.I know the road I am travelling, but as beautiful as it will be, it will also be very difficult. So, I thank God for websites like this, where people are not judgemental for me being me.
Thank you all.
