I used to live in Ab for about two years. I moved to a small town called Fort Macleod from Toronto, Ontario. I hated it lol. Way too boring for my liking!.

Welcome to Portland Oregon where the bumper sticker motto is "Keep Portland Weird."  Even my conservative son had to move out of TN.  No offense to those brave souls still working for change there.  I consider you one tough hombre.

Ptld is a great City for many reasons you seem to already know about.  I love the diversity, the vitality, youth and bicycling everywhere.
You probably know about the Q Center;  http://www.pdxqcenter.org/  and they are a fab resource for us.

yeah my bf and I visited Portland about two weeks ago and it was so amazing there, I loved the feel of the city and the views were beautiful. I love overcast rainy skies but the days we were there it was super sunny and cloudless, but on the morning we left it was foggy and gorgeous out. Also, the people there just seem so much more relaxed and nice there, you get random smiles from people for no reason.

I love the slogan "Keep ____ weird" My dad lives in Austin TX, where I think that phrase originated.
