We are about to attempt a hopefully decent implementation of a live video feed of the show and we will then be able to again have people call in and share their thoughts if they want.

This has been implemented! The show is now LIVE via UStream and folks can call in at 603-499-PORC during the show. The video is kinda crappy at the moment. You can only see 2 of the 3 hosts with the one cam, but we ordered a new webcam to test out and if it's decent, we plan to order two more exactly the same and set them up for switching.

Wow, the webcam arrived REALLY early and I've already tested it out and it's looking really promising so the video aspect of the show should be much improved next episode.

We had one webcam the last two shows and I chose to point them at the co-hosts. They were both easier on the eyes than I. Well now we have a new webcam and switching software. In this PIP shot, you can see a smaller shot of the co-hosts in the bottom-right corner.

In the next PIP shot showing the co-host seats (I took these screenshots during a test; not during the show), you can still see the main host (usually me) in the bottom-right corner.

I've met a surprising number of libertarianish types here, actually. It's very refreshing just to know I'm not THAT much of a weirdo here. :)

BTW, the 2nd new webcam arrived so the blurry one should get replaced with a high-res auto-focusing one like the one that was on me, before Monday's live show.

I should point out, however, that my spelling it with a small "L" was not a typo. :)

Me too, but it started a sentence  ::)

Haha! Good point. I usually feel the need to preface it with "small L" whenever I say it. :)
