FTMDiaries, I can see you doing that Happy Dance, your deserve this, you are on your way, Congratulations!

Thanks Jamie! :)

Today's little ray of sunshine came in the post. My GIC has posted me a copy of my T letter so I can see what's been said to my doctors. As an added, unexpected surprise, they also sent me a copy of my referral letter for top surgery.

OK, I am out everywhere :-) My boss was the last person, well... work actually. TBH, my profile pic has been me at work for a while, so they said they had a good idea already! lol

I've felt pretty down over the last little while (some was stuff that happened, other was just depression), but it seems to have lifted for today.

Lately it seems like only when people here find a reason to carry on do I find happiness. 2 today seem to be finding the hope that they need.

Just booked an appointment with a nurse to administer my first T shot. The Receptionist knew exactly which nurse to recommend because another patient has just started getting the same shot!

I confused three barristas in the strabucks :p The one taking my order passed it on to the person I had to pay with: a 'order' for mi...uh..s..uh..Nathan. Then the person I had to pay said: 'amount' please si...uh..Nathan and the one making my order said here you go mi.. euh sir :p It was so funny! They just couldn't make sense of me :D and trying to work their way around it by using my name :)

Nice one! I get it slightly differently at most Starbucks:

Barista: Can I take your name for the cup?
Me: [Male name]
Barista: Really?
Me: Yes. Really.

That's about to change.  ;D

I went to a lab today that I have been using for a few years, with me being on spiro briefly, amongst all the Doctors & I have seen lately, they like their own blood sample from you, today was for my regular GP annual physical, they are used to seeing me female now. I forgot  I had to have an ecg, so beside my GP & now had to strip down the top of my dress to the waist & take off my pantyhose. Had the same pink demi bra over my breast forms as earlier in the week with my GP when I had to remove my dress completely. The lab technician gave me a sheet to put over my top but I didn't, I don't mind, I'm muchly comfortable in my own skin. I was talking to her & mentioned I was going to another lab they had suggested for my bone density scan as they don't have theirs anymore. I called ahead to be sure the technician was in and much in all as my health card is a male name I will be coming in as a female. The technician doing my ecg said it doesn't matter to them how they see a patient. We always worry about this transitional phase for us, we have the fear, they don't so lets take away our fear. Just be you.

I feel so relaxed in public dressed as the female I am that each positive event inspires and make me more comfortable, confident & HAPPY!
Cheers
Jamie

we were at our aunts place for dinner today. suddenly a friend of my uncle showed up. he had seen me only once before, and knew my relationship to my uncle, but at the last visit we hadnt interacted enough for him to recognize my gender (it takes some time, but you can recognize soon enough bcos ive not come ou yet and im not into transitioning except for my clothes and hair) so today when he saw me ( i was wearing a black tshirt and sprawled on a big armchair) i smiled at him and he said 'hello son!' i was thrilled but embarassed bcos others could here it. but it didnt really matter cos in our language 'son' is used as a gender neutral term when you know and love the child. but not to a stranger child you have seen only once before. but the others looked strangely at him once and then ignored. also when we were leaving i went up to him to say we were leaving, and he said 'alright son, see you!'
okay thats not much of a story, but it made me happy today. so i suppose its okay to leave it here :)

Peoples responses when I told them I was in trasition at work. (almost everyone had figured it out for themselves as I haven't tried to hide it at all). They were soooo sweet to me. It really was lovely.

Looking through my new insurance information and finding out that they cover everything related to transitioning.  Lots of feels right now.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love
