Hello everyone,

Sorry if this question was asked and answered earlier. I did check, but I couldn't find anything.

Anyway, earlier this week I received a referral from my sexologist to get a tracheal shave and start voice therapy (they are covered by our national insurance here). My question is about timing. I should start t-blockers in September and E sometime after that. I know that it is good to wait with FFS until you've been on HRT for some time, so I am a little confused about why I got the referral for the tracheal shave so quickly. That said, if HRT doesn't really have an impact on the prominence of my Adam's apple, I would love to get it fixed sooner rather than later. Does any one have any information on this or do you have any experience with this yourself?

Thank you,
Mary

A tracheal shave isn't FFS.

HRT has no impact whatsoever, unless one regards indirect effects like weight gain.

I had a tracheal shave for a prominent Adams's apple. It was a relatively simply operation and recovery was very fast with no unwanted side-effects.
