Because even here, where it's state funded and therefore probably not as easy as where you just pay for what you want, my psychiatrist told me there was hardly any problem with doing the surgery after a maybe 6 months if I wanted. Now, the timing is such that the only good moment is after school, next summer, but I think I could have my surgery this winter if not for that. Perhaps some negotiation is possible.
