So I just had my forehead contouring and buccal fat removal done at Yanhee 2 days ago. I can see a big diiference as soon as the nurse took the gauze off of my face. The prominent brow bone has been reduced to the like of genetic female. But at day 2 the swelling got a little worse than day 1, my right eye could hardly open. Is this normal? I try to place to cold pak over the area as much as I can per instruction. The pain is not so bad though. Thanks ladies.

Swelling is very common after most any surgical trauma.  I hope your recovery is quick and your results are fantastic.

Sounds like things are going well...I'm very interested, because I'm going to need some serious forehead contouring (i.e., removal of the forehead, "Type 3 contouring"). If you can, and are able, be as descriptive of the whole process as possible.

...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Beth,

Actually, the doctor didn't explain much of the procedure to me at the first consultation. He was like why do you need to do anything, you look just fine and all that but I insisted that the surgery would boost my self confidence tremendously. Then he inspected my head and skull and set up surgery date 2 days later. The surgery took less than 3-4 hours (forehead and fat cheek) I was under general anesthesia and stayed at the hospital overnight. Nurses visit for blood pressure and giving medicine way too frequently which is not a bad thing. I was still under influence so no bathroom until morning. only bedpan if I had to go.

There are staple-like stitches at the top of my head from ear to ear as well as dissolvable ones inside my mouth. No hair washing for 3 days. I have to go back to Yanhee to have the stitches removed on Day 7.My face is still very swollen though at day 3 but the brow ridge is obviously gone. The part near frontal sinus was reduced too. Very happy about that!! I can see a big difference. Can't wait until full recovery so I can see the result.

So I thought I should give an update on my Forehead surgery. Today I had my stitches removed. The nurse used a tweezer-like device to pick each staple off my head one by one. The ones near my ears were quite painful but not that bad. The ones on top of my head didn't hurt at all due to the numbness. The swelling on my face has gone down quite a lot after a week. Over all I'm pleased with the result. I still don't see any difference on my cheek though.  Dr.said it might take 3 weeks to see any result but I found online that some patient take 1-3 months or so.
